"It has taken me a while to write this review, to ensure there was no emotion and simply just facts being stated, but I feel others should know. I would not reccomend this attorney. When i hired Mr. Lopez to represent my finance I was desperate and had no idea how to navigate the immigration channels and he took full advantage of that. He originally presented himself as a competent and compassionate attorney and I quickly realized that was not the case. I did not receive a contract or do not receive any documentation on the case/status. He will submit documents to the court that appear to have been written by a 2nd grader with misspelling. I would reach out to the office often requesting an update of the case and would be met with a long wait time and attitude when they decided to answer the phone. That being said, when Mr. Lopez decides there is not much money to be made in with a case he will essentially ignore it. He will lie about updates or when he is going to visit the facility. I am saying this because The office was notified on Nov. 20th that my fiancé appeal was denied and this decision would in turn mean he would be deported. (Back to a country he had not lived in since he was 6 years old) Mr. Lopez did not inform me or his client about this. So imagine our surprise when on Dec. 18th he is deported. When I reached out to him he spoke loudly over me & disrespectfully, and said “it’s simply a done deal” Did not Inform me of any of the waivers he was eligible to start the process of bringing him back to the states. Throughout the process he misinformed us and did not work diligently on the case and this lead to my finance being dropped in a foreign country with no clothes, shoes, money, or shelter. Please there are some amazing immigration attorney’s out there who are not money hungry and willing to work to keep your loved ones from ending up like mine. Mr. Lopez despite the image he portrays is not one of them."
