"Horrible ER experience… first ER visit was wife felt as if she was pushed out quickly even when she expressed she was still in pain… we came back same day due to her pain leveling way up to 10 when got home. Expressed what happen to head nurse in ER and will see if is brought up.. Then when we got a room for her overnight stay, it didn’t have a bed in it… missing bed trays for use. Etc Overall in the past it’s been good service when we have came, but tonight the ER and transfer was horrible.. I am shocked and disappointed….thankfully her nurse in permanent room is very helpful."
"Just want to say thank you to St Luke's The Woodlands Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum unit. I will be honest, as a pediatric nurse working right next door I have not heard great things about the hospital in general so I was scared my daughter was going to deliver there. I ended up talking to a former manager of the Women's center assured me that quality has not been an issue on that unit. Still though, I was skeptical and I had my guard up. However, the care my daughter received was stellar. My daughter is a young mother and she still has needle fear. The nurses were both firm and gentle when needed. And when things kind of got wonky (baby had umbilical cord wrapped around the neck and inhaled lots of amniotic fluid) the team quickly resolved and escalated problems without raising fear in myself or my daughter. Our baby had a few hours NICU stay just to be sure. In Postpartum the nurses stayed on top of my daughter's pain, helped her with breast feeding and gave the baby extra attention when it was clear he still had amniotic fluid in his stomach. The nurses were very nice and very professional. It was nice to see the white boards updated with the plan of care and bed side rounds. Being on the receiving end of that put those two things into prospective to bring back to my own career. My daughter really felt like she was your only patient. Nobody ever acted rushed on either unit. My only suggestion is to cluster care a bit more during the day. The nurse manager and chaplain is an unnecessary visit for a mother needing rest. Less in and out during the day would be great for a mom that was up all night."
"This is the second time we have come to this location for blood transfusions. The first in August 23. We got here at 11 and did not leave until 8:30om. Husband was NEVER offered a meal or anything to drink. We sat in room 330 for an hour before anyone even came in. Then left to go find a blood pressure cuff. Today 1-24-24 we are here right now and if you think it’s any better - it’s so much worse . The approval was sent to St. Luke’s on Monday 1-22-24. We arrived here at 10:05. We sat in the waiting room for over an hour according to Tammy they were waiting on insurance approval. At that point I called our doctors office who was besides themselves because they had sent it over on Monday the 22nd and said that they would refax it and of course we were assigned room 330 again, this time we were immediately met by a nurse. But it is now 1:50 and the transfusion has not started. On check in estimate is shows one unit of blood - orders are for two units. You got us twice - if it happens again- believe me I will drive two or more hours to avoid this place! Asked for a patient advocate- I went downstairs as we are here now in room 330 and the lady at the front desk said the administration office is around the corner that was locked .We ARE here NOW and can’t even get help in person! See response below - please call- we are sitting in room 330. That’s how serious you take complaints!! Our nurse has been more than helpful and supportive, we feel bad that she was caught in the middle of this situation. She deserves a medal and huge raise."
"Me and wife came to ER due the fact she had surgery here on Tuesday. She was having some issues do to the surgery she had on Tuesday. She was in so much pain but they could do anything for her. We normally don’t complain but this is unacceptable to me. First patient in waiting room with IV pole because their no room in ER available. Then they tell us that she going to be admitted over a hour ago but we still waiting been in the ER since 2pm and it now 7pm. We want leave in go to another hospital closer to our home but we decided to stay here since this were she had the surgery at. But trust me we never come here again. Their no reason for you to be told you going admitted and their no bed in the ER or upstairs."
"My wife was told to go here by her Doctor because of very low blood oxygen levels. The ER is the most efficient I have ever been to in over 60 years. She was seen and a series of tests ran. It couldn't be determined why her O2 was low so she was admitted to the hospital on the 3rd floor. The staff there were professional but also caring and gentle with my wife. She was made to feel comfortable despite all the work they had to do testing and monitoring her status. Although she was more than ready to leave after 3 days it wasn't because of St Lukes staff. I would like to have recognized specific staff but I was extremely worried about my wife so I didn't keep track."
