"My mother was transported to the ICU here at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio for a stroke. She spent several days in ICU and everyone was so understanding, patient, and informative and I want to especially say her nurse Shelby was the best nurse I have ever met! She completely went above and beyond for my mother and I in explaining everything that was going on and especially keeping me calm during a very stressful time. After she recovered enough to be transferred to the neuro unit, the knowledge and care she received for that week (maybe a little longer) was phenomenal. So, instead of transferring to another hospital rehabilitation program that was available sooner, we waited there an extra couple days to be moved up to the rehabilitation unit so we could stay here at Northeast Baptist because we just knew that we would be receiving the best care available by staying. I knew the rehabilitation process was going to be stressful especially with my mom having the headstrong and stubbornly outgoing personality she does. I warned them they would have their hands full, and they DID, but they rolled with the punches and my mother has made amazing improvements due to the outstanding staff here. All the therapists (speech-Carolina, physical- Amy, and occupational- Bethany) are so amazingly dedicated to their job, they have outstanding attitudes and I especially would like to mention our favorite nurses in this unit...Marsha and Kat! You two are the best at what you do and were so great at handling a patient that is not the easiest person to always deal with. The entire staff here helped us not only medically but emotionally as well by always keeping us informed and at ease during a life changing event. Thank you North Baptist Hospital for taking such amazing care of my mother, and though I hope we never need to come back, there is NO OTHER HOSPITAL that I or anyone I care about will ever go to willingly! Definitely 10 stars out of 5 for this place!"

"Rarely have I ever needed medical attention in my life, while out with my family I unexpectedly began to have chest pain and difficulty breathing. It was a scary situation; I wasn’t sure if I should try and wait it out or go to the hospital. I really do not like to go to any doctor or hospital because I feel like it takes too long and I feel like a burden, especially because I am healthy (or so I thought). With some persuasion my sister took me to the Emergency Room at Northeast Baptist, on this evening the nurse came to triage me quickly and I was taken to a room in less than 10 minutes. The doctor came to see me, he was kind and quick about his work. My ER nurse Tina was amazing, she was patient with me and took time to explain everything that was going on. Later I was admitted into the hospital and my nurse on the cardiac floor Jenna (Gina but with a "J") was an amazing nurse. I felt safe and cared for. Even though I don't want to ever go to the hospital again I would hope for nurses like Tina in the ER and Jenna in Cardiac to care for me or my family. Thank you to NE Baptist, Tina and Jenna for getting me home safely just in time for my son’s birthday."

"Had to visit the ER today and had the funniest caring nurse I’ve ever experienced Nurse Bobby. He has great bedside manners and really helped my anxiety. I will definitely go back and highly recommend Northeast Baptist."

"Surgery want excellently well and I am home now recovering. I want to publicly express my gratitude to nurse Ms Hailey for caring of me so much. She was excellent! Took care of business and always willing to help. Ms Hailey thank you for all you did for me. To staff and other individuals that helped me. Everyone went far and above to help me due to my medical condition. Mr Thomas was the only one nurse that had the least empathy and the saddest part is that he was training a young man. That is not acceptable. This is the only reason you couldn’t earn 5 stars. Thank you Mr Thomas for not doing your job. I now have a smaller medical bill to pay!"
