If you have not tried Country ham it is slightly salty from the curing process but when prepared and sliced properly it can be some of the tastiest you have ever eaten. They are keeping the old world style of curing meats alive today."

"My fathers family didn't grow up with much but I remember remember the stories he would tell about Gatton's products when they had them. It became a tradition when he became older that he always had a big Christmas breakfast from Gatton's for us. Even with him gone it is a tradition that my family proudly carries on each year. I've never had anything from here that wasn't amazing. but their Country ham and sausage patties are beyond perfect. Also tried a new bacon flavor this year, maple flavored. We loved it!"

"I wanted to buy some smoked "sack" sausage, but I couldn't find any locally so I decided to look online for a source. I came across the Father's Country Hams web site, and they had the kind of sausage I was looking for. Even though I was a little bit iffy about buying uncooked meat online, I decided to give it a try. I ordered two 2-pound rolls of smoked sausage. I now realize I made a mistake in doing that. I should have ordered at least five rolls! Since I have not been able to find smoked sausage locally for quite a while, I don't have any recent experiences to use as comparison. Without being able to remember the exact flavor of the last, good smoked sausage I had, I still think it is safe for me to say the Father's brand sausage is some of the best I have ever eaten. It is delicious! It slices easily, cooks up well without creating a lot of grease or splatters, and it smells great while it is cooking. There is a slight hint of spiciness to it, but definitely not enough to consider it hot sausage. I'm glad of that. I can't eat spicy foods, so this fits well with my dietary requirements. The next time I want to buy smoked sausage, I know exactly where I'll go to get it. And I won't even have to leave my house."

"I found Father's Country Hams by accident many years ago, and have been buying it ever since! It is simply the best country ham/country bacon/country sausage I've ever had. Everyone I know that has tried it loves the ham. Now, not everyone likes the bacon or sausage, it is very different from the regular breakfast kinds you get in the store.
