"Small park and play area for kids, nice view of the river."
"Nice to photograph or video especially if you catch a train crossing. There are several different locations to get photos, but mainly in the fall is best due to all the trees"
"I loved my visit here. I am on a quest to find the best view of the Kentucky River Palisades. They're hard to see even from trails that claim to have a lookout point (Jim Beam Trail) because of how heavily forested basically everywhere in Kentucky is including the palisades themselves. This is the best view I've found so far. I got these shots of the river and bridge itself from the lookout point. Overall, the park grounds are neat and spacious with swinging benches interspersed as well as a barn-style pavilion. It is clear the people behind the park put a lot of care into it's construction. I accidentally drove to the banks of the river while trying to find the top of the bridge, which felt like being transported to another world (for me). I saw people standing on the bridge from there. When I finally made it up to the park, they were not there. I asked some other visitors about it and found out you're not supposed to access the bridge, which was a surprise to me because of all the photos on Google Maps from the bridge. I strongly discourage accessing the bridge. Just a moment later, a train came through. No idea the bridge was still in use since it's over 200 years old, if I remember correctly. The history of the bridge was fascinating. I was so lucky to see the train come by, though. Seeing it from the lookout point would have been incredible. I was there a little before 4pm on a Sunday, so try then in case there's a schedule."
"Missed a train crossing which would've made the trip there better. The nearby park offers a good view but wires are in the way for photos. Went to the nearby lock and hydro plant. The road below the bridge offers unique views. The park also had an outdoor venue."
"It was truly beautiful here! We got to watch a bridge cross while we were there and it's pretty spectacular! The Kentucky River is so pretty, I imagine it will be even more beautiful during spring and autumn. I plan to revisit when the weather is warmer. There is a park there and I look forward to a picnic!"
