"Very cool place. A waterfall that you can walk across that is very unique. Picnic tables so you can bring a meal and have family fun. There is a restroom there. During certain times of the year, watch out for snakes!"

"Beautiful hidden lake. Looks like a nice trail and shaded picnic areas with vault toilets. We just stopped to walk by the water and spillway."

"A really nice hike. Tons of birds and shade. I recommend doing the 2.3 mile walk around the lake. We didn’t go all the way around due to the high grass near the dam. There is a nice bridge at the end that takes you over the water. It had a restroom and many picnic tables. A little more maintenance on the trail would have given it the 5 star."

"Nice place to take a short 2.5 mile hike/walk on the Hematite Trail which goes around the lake. There were some different ecosystems as you walked the well maintained trail. Pretty cool to see. We saw a snake along the way just a laying around in the sun! Lot's of different birds as well. Go see it and have a wonderful time."

"Took out Scout Troop & Pack members on a hike here recently. Was a perfect day for one too. Have always enjoyed hiking here, but the only complaint is that the boardwalk on the far end have deteriorated & sections have been removed and have not been replaced. Other than that, a most wonderful location! We even had an Eagle keep us company, though he was always the parting type."
