"I was never given details about what was happening with my case unless I called and specifically asked. Even then, most of the time the response I got was “someone will call you back” and of course, they didn’t. When asked directly if the paperwork we needed to move forward had been filed, I was told that it had been, and that it would take up to 2 weeks to hear back. 2 weeks later, I find out it had never actually been filed and the process hadn’t even started. After nearly a month and a half of the worst communication I’ve ever experienced, and absolutely NOTHING getting done with my case, I asked for my retainer back and found a new lawyer.
