"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a quiet getaway and that is exactly what we got. The views are beautiful and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. The only thing that was the slightest inconvenience was that all the restaurant offered was a buffet, we were unable to order from the menu."
"Kentucky Dam Village State Park , Gilbertville, KY This is only a campground review because we arrived late and left early. There are many facilities in this park including a lodge , boat dock, golf course, etc. Arriving at night in the dark we had a challenge finding the campground. Info signs are few and far between and they don’t show up at night. Once in the camp ground we had no idea where to go because there are no signs saying which loop and the numbers on that loop. So we just picked a spot near the first bath house. I had already read reviews saying that 2 sites share electric and water and they were hard to reach without a real long ext cord. So we decided it wasn’t worth it to figure that out in the dark. The restrooms were clean snd spacious. There seemed to be 3 for the campground. Its a pretty campground with lots of old majestic trees. But no marker posts for each site and no picnic table or firepit at most sites. We did notice that along the perimeter sites had tables and firepits."
"Bring lighting n bug stuff you're on the river sand = fleas RV rug helps. Very peaceful, campers are spread out. Reasonably priced. Nice playground basketball goal, corn hole. Beautiful walks. Pet friendly ☺️"
"This place was beautiful. There was hardly no one there. The park host, Jacky, was so helpful. I want to go back and send more time there. The grounds were well maintained and the camp sites are spacious."
"If you want a campground that has LOTS OF SPACE this is it. There is lots of real estate here and it's not crowded at all. Staff is minimal, like I've only seen a ranger come thru a couple times in 4 nights and they clean the bathhouse. Sites share a water pedestal and electric pedestal and if you stay on the asphalt you WILL NEED AN EXTENSION CORD AND LONG HOSES. I was on site 221 and if I stayed on the asphalt it would have been almost 50 ft to the electric. As you can see in the picture I sat up crosswise and used 50 ft of hose and my standard cord. The downside to this campground is that it's not on the lake and there are only 2 sites that are 50 amp!! That is the reason for only 4 stars. If they were to upgrade the electric to more 50 amp sites I think there would be more traffic here. We will definitely be back."
