"Nice and quiet during the cold season. The trail around the lake is nothing too special but provides a good way to get some exercise and enjoy some wildlife. Swimming area was a little bit too algae-ish for my taste when I visited."

"Nice loop trail around the lake. Unfortunately the creek washed out the crossing at the back of the lake so it's impassable in cold weather. You can still make a loop by following the Ridgeline trail back to the trailhead"

"Swimming area is great. Kids loved it. Nice beach area with shaded spots in the grass. Nice concession stand with super nice people running it!"

"I've been going here since I was a young child. A great place to hike, mountain bike, picnic, or camp. Also great for fishing, birdwatching, or just enjoying nature. A bathhouse and swimming area are available, although I can't really comment since I haven't made use of them for a long, long time, but they appear to be well maintained and popular."
