"My tiny home, Ruby, was whimsically decorated in a Wizard of Oz theme and appointed with both basic and comfort amenities which made my stay pure delight! On Saturday night, I was able to enjoy a Community movie right outside my front door! Even free popcorn and hot chocolate was served! The accommodations were clean, comfortable, beautiful and fun to experience. I am an enthusiastic supporter of Community First and look forward to visiting again in the future. Very grateful for the opportunity to stay here!"
"We stayed in the Rosie Tiny Home for the F1 Race weekend and this was the perfect landing place for our trip. The community is out of the way but not enough that you can't get around fairly quickly (provided there is no traffic). The tiny home itself was clean and just as described. We felt comfortable and safe on property but we did mainly just park directly across from our unit and walk back and forth a few times. The head housekeeper checked in on us and was very kind. Overall, we had a pretty excellent trip because our stay was such a value for an already pricey weekend! I find the concept and execution of this community to be very positive and it was our pleasure supporting their mission by selecting them for our stay in Austin, TX."
"I spent two weeks in this beautiful community. I was welcomed by the incredible Inn staff who provided me with all of the information to participate in events + activities during my stay. The residents also welcomed me into their community with open arms and detailed stories about how this all came to be over the years. I took a tour, volunteered in the gardens, attended the farmers markets, witnessed local talents on the karaoke stage, shopped in the community market where resident's art is sold, participated in movie night on the big screen from my tiny home porch + had lunch from the on-site food truck. The soul feeling of being part of this village is something you'll have to experience for yourself. Every person on this Earth deserves a safe space, access to nourishing food and help from others while experiencing challenges. While I looked out my window during a wild thunderstorm I knew that 390 people had a dry place to sleep that night and I felt grateful to be part of Community First Village even for a short time. Don't book a hotel - stay here & explore what is being created."
"An awesome place - the tiny home was cute, clean and spacious. There were plenty of bathrooms to use all within a 60 second walk of the unit and they were super clean (shout out to Jeff cleaning them spotless at 6am each day). The community is cool, there's a mix of RV's and tiny homes and even some 3D printed homes in the back. The ex-homeless people we interacted with were all extremely nice, we never felt threatened or uncomfortable at all. A great place that I think other cities should implement ASAP."
"Little to no details on how they have only public shower & bathrooms. This place is listed as a hotel stay in google, it is in fact a small little liberal community. I’m all for helping the homeless but they say little about how the homeless are running around care free all in there “community”. I asked for a refund because of my girlfriends time of the month and our little shack had no bathroom even near it… 5-10 minute walk to the public one. Real convenient at night with the homeless running around! When we got there to check in, nobody was there to greet us & the number they left was a call with no answer. We were assisted by a brave homeless woman who had the nerve to ask for a ride with strangers. She looked (rough). We ended up getting another room in downtown & politely asked for our money back due to these circumstances. The owner was quick to shut that down with the reason being “the details are clear on the webpage” which is a flat out lie. Yes, I should have paid more attention but he handled it very poorly in my opinion. 2 thumbs down for this place!!!! Thanks “cult community inn” ran by a jackass."
