Reviews of The LINE Austin
"We stayed here for our anniversary back in December, and we loved our experience. The service was great, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing. We brought our dog with us, which didn't cost us anything. We were worried because we got a room right next to the elevators, but we could not hear anything at all. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."
"This hotel is nice for sure. The location is fabulous. The staff and service were great. I held back 5 stars for service for one reason - at check in, the staff raved about the rooftop bar. So we dropped all of our things and headed there at 3 pm to check it out. Upon arrival, they asked if we had a reservation. It was not busy, They said all of the patio was reserved and they had no seats inside. So, not really enough area to handle entertainment for guests. The downstairs lounge opened at 5. So, we went to the JW Marriott a block away and had a great afternoon. The rooms are a little dark. I think its the vibe. Beds are close to the ground. I slept well though. We only had one coffee cup in the room. Staff said that is the typical allotment. They were happy to provide a second one - no trouble. At least we had two towels. Truthfully, it’s really not a bad place. I don’t think its a luxury hotel, but that is my opinion. It’s probably not our thing for the future, but don’t overlook it."
"I’ve stayed at this hotel once before and had a very positive experience. My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday night to spend the night in downtown Austin. Our experience was just as good this time. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The coffee and food in the various restaurants such as P6 and Alfred Coffee are exceptional. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed in a room overlooking the river and the view was beautiful. A surprisingly great part of the room is actually the showers. The shower heads are large and “high flow.” It feels like you’re showering in a waterfall. Of course the Line is in a great part of town. It’s right next to the river and near the Long Center, several great restaurants, and other attractions. If I had to nitpick, I would say the only negative is that (for some bizarre reason) the elevators look incredibly dated. The carpets look like they haven’t been replaced in 30 years and the walls of the elevators have a weird plastic on them that make you feel dizzy. Very weird, but definitely doesn’t factor into my rating."
"Everything was cool while I stayed. Except the no bikes (even tho they claim free bikes for guest.) Nice staff though. HOWEVER, upon getting my credit card bill there was a $32.76 amenity fee. When I called to dispute using anything , I was told it was charged to every guest, and I should’ve read the fine print in booking my room. Wow, I’ve worked in hotels 10 years and never heard of such a thing. Parking is $50 valet only as well."
"Rented a king suite overlooking the river. The room was massive and worth the cost they had it for during our weekend getaway. This hotel has some really cool artistic vibes throughout the property. Check out the restrooms on the lobby level. Hotel staff are super friendly. Overall we would stay here again. Cons: - towels have stains and are pretty thin and worn. For a property as beautiful as this I expect fresh, clean unstained towels. - bathroom vents have SO much dust. This shouldn’t be an oversight. - couldn’t find a breakdown of costs for the drinks and snacks they provided"
