"Geraldines has an amazing family style menu. I was told it is a new menu, so well done! We tried nearly everything on it with our group and the service was top notch. The rooms are excellent and we truly enjoyed the hospitality provided by the hotel's leadership team."

"Very welcoming, our room was just ok. The curtains had some kind of stain. The daily parking rate is way over priced. But you are offered a free beer when you arrived. Also free cocktail hour. Which the margarita was very good. Our view of the pool was kind of ruined by construction (not hotels fault)."

"We stayed here on NYE and our experience was mixed. We had read reviews about it being a great spot for watching fireworks, but new construction next door means you can no longer see the fireworks, which was disappointing but beyond the control of the hotel. Our initial service experience was pretty bad (front desk person and then a bartender at Geraldine’s who was incredibly rude). But the next day we had much better luck with folks at the front desk and our brunch server at Geraldine’s was so great. Our rooms were fine. Clean, comfortable beds, I liked the decor. The robes were pretty well worn, with fraying along the seams. The four of us had two rooms. A pool view king, which had the entire bathroom behind a barn door. And we also had a standard king which had the shower/toilet behind a door and the vanity was separate. I’m pretty sure the standard king room was bigger than the pool view. All in all, my guess is this is a great spot if you’re going to spend a lot of time on Rainey Street, but the service challenges would prevent me from recommending this property to any friends."

"Another great stay at Hotel Van Zandt. Being a loyal customer since their opening, I always have a great experience. Often bring my family along and we all have a wonderful time (swimming pool is always a must for us, beautiful views and great pool service). And we all love their breakfast. Personnel always friendly, attentive and pleasant. My out of the country friends were all enjoyed Hotel Van Zandt and asked to stay there again when they are visiting Texas."
