"We've relied on the same office in New Albany for 20 years or more, initially Melhiser Endres Tucker, then Rodefer Moss. Recently, when DMLO acquired this office, things changed. Last year we received substandard service. We submitted our information well in advance of the deadline, but were kept in the dark on status all the way up to April 15, when we were informed that DMLO would file an extension. That was a first in 20 years. I think they basically lost control of their business, maybe accepted too many customers and then were scrambling to get it all done. I was willing to give them another shot this year, but they sent me a letter asking me to accept the outsourcing of my return to other parties (potentially outside the U.S.) and to consent to nearly doubling our fee. Why on earth would I reward them with continued business at a higher rate? I get the feeling that their leadership is not aware of the service that's being provided at the New Albany office and that a long time customer is being forced to walk away."
