Comfort Suites near Westchase on Beltway 8

"Stayed at this location 2/16/2024-2/18/2024. They made me put a $100 cash deposit. Comforter and a pillow case had blood spot on it. The toilet does not flush. The next morning asked for room service and complaint about the toilet not flushing when I arrived back to the hotel 10 pm. room was not cleaned, no fresh towels and the toilet was still not flushing. This used to be a nice hotel now run down and the service from the front desk are awful. I will never be booking this hotel when I come back to Houston."

"Comfort Suites and their staff, like Sunny, were amazing during my stay. The hotel was really nice, and Sunny was super helpful and friendly. They answered all my questions and gave great tips about things to do nearby. I had a great time staying there, and I definitely recommend it to others!"

"SCAM!!!!!! Please read all reviews about the same scam they are running. Sunny and the lady up front (forgot her name) are liars and this whole hotel is a SCAM!!!! They required you to put your credit card or cash as a deposit even though everything is prepaid. They will run your card instantly. The hotel will tell you manager is not on site and try again tomorrow to get the same results. I have video of roaches in room. They have their own policy that is totally different from other comfort suites. I complained about one of their couch bed had some yellow stain and if I can get a new mattress for it. They told me no, but I can have a new sheet. What good does that do?!??! We told them forget it and we won’t used that couch bed then and they charged my CC $350 after I checked out. I called them and they explained it wasn’t fault when I brought it to their attention on check-in. Also, When one of our party checked out at 11pm and requested their invoices they stated it don’t print till 3am. We checked out at 10am and asked for invoice and they stated they don’t print invoice. Also, one of our towel had soda on it and they stated they will charge me for damages ($100+). I took that towel and rinse off with hot water and they were satisfied. They required you to turn in towel at front desk to get new ones. I mean they literally will count 1 for 1, no extras. These towels are old and raggedy anyways. There’s a lot more but these are the main issues. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! RREAD ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS THAT HAVE THIS SAME ISSUES!"

The spaciousness of the room was a plus, featuring a couch that converted into a bed, offering additional sleeping space which could be particularly beneficial for families or groups. However, these positives were overshadowed by several negative experiences. The front desk staff's insistence on a hefty $200 deposit was both unexpected and inconsistently applied. The safety concern with the television precariously hanging by a nail was alarming. Additionally, discovering a used condom wrapper and other trash under the TV stand was unsettling and raised serious questions about the thoroughness of the cleaning process. The attitude of the front desk staff was also a point of contention. Their excessive interest in the number of people in my party came across as intrusive. While it's understandable that hotels need to manage room occupancy for various reasons, the manner in which this was handled felt overly inquisitive and somewhat unwelcoming. This was acknowledged without issue. However, upon my early check-out, I faced a frustrating and unacceptable situation regarding the return of my $200 cash deposit. The front desk staff member informed me that I would have to wait until the next morning to get my deposit back. This was not only inconvenient but also completely unexpected, as there was no mention of this condition when I checked in. The lack of communication and the apparent disregard for my schedule, especially since I needed to be in Austin, was highly unprofessional. This situation gave the impression that the staff member was exerting unnecessary control over my funds, which added a layer of dissatisfaction to my already troubled experience at the hotel. My experience at Comfort Suites off Beltway 8 & Beechnut was so disheartening that I only spent a total of 5 hours there and have firmly decided never to return. The entire stay left nothing to be desired. From the moment I checked in and encountered the issues with the deposit, to the concerning safety hazards in my room, every aspect of my brief visit was fraught with disappointment. The lack of professionalism and the sheer inconvenience of being told I couldn't retrieve my $200 cash deposit until the next morning, despite my early departure, was the final straw. This experience has firmly cemented my decision to avoid this hotel in the future."

"Found a live cockroach in my room!! I travel the world for business and have stayed at many hotels. You definitely get what you pay for. I booked for 3 nights. The room smelled. There was a live cockroach in the bathroom. The furniture is old. The couch was in rough shape. I showed photos and video to the front desk staff. They came in my room to confirm?? I was told to email the manager and never heard back. They could not refund me for the 2 remaining nights. There was no way I was going to stay 2 more nights in a dirty cockroach infested hotel room. Do yourself a favour, and never stay at the hotel. I’d rather sleep in my truck than this place.. worst experience ever"
