Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Antonio-Airport North, an IHG Hotel 16315 San Pedro Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78232

"It feels more like a Motel 6 than a Holiday Inn Express. I'm not sure how they get away with calling it a Holiday Inn. It's nowhere near the level of quality that I've grown to expect from holiday inn. The bathrooms don't have hand soap, the building smells weird, the rooms feel dirty and gross. everything is falling apart. The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful, but this place shouldn't be able to have the brand Holiday Inn."

"The desk clerk told me that I would be charged $25 for a hold even tho I had all 3 nights free because I had enough points. Turns out the hold was $25/night, not total. The explanation for this "hold" was never clearly explained. If someone closed a door hard, the sound reverberated throughout the whole floor & the walls shook. The toilet wasn't bolted down-it rocked back & forth, the bottom of the bathroom door was peeling up, one of the nightstands had damage. The tray that held the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned for awhile. No one came to my room my entire stay with clean towels. The door leading into the back parking lot was propped open a lot of the time, this was disconcerting when it came to security. The driveway leading to the parking lot is very steep. I was very disappointed in this location as Holiday Inn."

"Not a good experience. Free breakfast was so gross, that we opted out of breakfast. My kids were actually excited for breakfast until we saw it… we found multiple bugs in the room, and could not get maid service during our stay. I would strongly consider other arrangements- I’ve usually had great stays at Holiday Inn’s - but not this one!"

"I am currently staying at this hotel now. I booked a king size bed with sofa bed. I found the sofa bed that has spiky springs and you can not use that as a bed because there is no cushioning and you can feel the nettling spring when you lay down. Additionally there were no blanket for sofa bed and when we asked for extra blankets at the check in they said that they don’t have any. Not a good experience with this hotel. Will not recommend. Gentlemen at the counter was nice though."

"The Good: The location, which is close to restaurant options. A good size room and clean, albeit aged. The Bad: The breakfast option was very limited. All they had were eggs, sausage, and toast. The pancake machine had no batter. No safe in the room. Also, this hotel does not participate in the IHG Greener Stay program, which is surprising as I thought it was across all IHG hotels. Don't expect friendly customer service from the front desk. The Ugly: The facility is old, but there's no reason maintenance should not be kept. Both the sink faucet and shower head were leaking. The bathroom fan was noisy and the ceiling lights were replaced with a smaller housing, so you can see the dust. I know dust will build up, but as a customer, I don't want to see it. The toilet tank was loose, where the bolts only need to be tightened. A dried up nail polish could've easily been cleaned from a bedside table, but was left to add a splash of color to the decor (maybe?). Also, my room was never cleaned in the three days I was there... Holiday Inn Express should take notice as this location is not keeping to their standard."
