"Update, over 5 years later. Miss Ritsert was instructed by the Judge to communicate with me as an heir. She has defied the Judge. Miss Ritsert was also instructed by the Judge that she needs to provide an accounting of the estate to me. She still has not done this citing "shes not sure exactly what the inventory is". She has been the Attorney in this case for over 5 years, and she doesnt know what the inventory is?? This person is a very low grade attorney, and now in my opinion, is up to something fishy. DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER. Update: this case is now at the 5year mark. Still not completed, and NOTHING has been done since 8-20-2020. Its now 10-4-23. I asked the judge to call for a status, Carrie says "oh we just got the title back". It was sent 11 months ago. This lawyer is not advising "her client". She just makes motions and does nothing. My Mother didnt have much, this shouldve been over years ago. But she just lets it sit without advising her client. She takes sides between family members even though she is being entirely paid by the estate not the other family member. Does not respond at all, and does not share any info. Actually planning not to pay cremation expenses back even though I paid 100% of it, and properly filed the bill with the Jefferson County probate court. The big clue is she took the case with no money down and put her own lien on the estate. NO ONE ELSE DOES THAT, NO ONE. Everyone else wanted $1500 down. That speaks volumes to me. This is not a professional lawyer, I would steer clear. Lawyers that dont get a retainer are desperate for clients. Most likely due to incompetence."
"Carrie Ritsert was referred to me by a friend's estate attorney. Ms. Ritsert from day one has been upfront, honest, communicative and practical. So far, I really trust her instincts and knowledge with a difficult situation regarding part of an estate. She's been very efficient and I would highly recommend her. When the ordeal is complete, I will update my review and feel it will only be more raving of her capabilities and integrity."
"I hired Carrie to represent me in my divorce case. She was not helpful at all but she had no problem charging me for one sentence emails or messages that didn’t pertain to my case. I wasted so much money and I didn’t receive adequate representation. She was very shady as well. I fired her because she was giving my ex legal advice that would potentially hurt my case."
"I was very disappointed in this office and services, I paid over $700 initially when filing for divorce. I was never able to meet with her face to face, everything was handled over phone (two calls) and through email. I would not receive updates for days, when I would send an email asking for an update I would get a one line sentence back sometimes one word and I was getting billed for everything. A simple one liner was A $60 charge. After paying so much money up front and nothing being resolved I fired her. Their office now tells me I owe more money. Stay away from this place they are out to rob you."
"The attorney and the staff were quite knowledgeable and provided guidance throughout the entire process. They also made some recommendations for related services other than the legal. With this information I was able to make an informed decision and selection for an Estate Auction. While attorneys are not generally thought of as being a necessity throughout our lives; having found a very good one in Ms. Ritsert; I intend on keeping the office contact information close by should I need Legal Advice or Actions in the future. I was very satisfied with their services."
