"It is very sad for those that felt the staff and vets did not have compassion or it was too expensive. When our pets get ill we be one very emotional. I understand all of you. My experience with the hospital was very positive. My vet is amazing. Christmas Eve night is had to put my dog, Sheba, down. I went in with her, they took me to the room right away and she was examined and a decision that I knew had to be made, was made. The staff was amazing with us. The vet was so passionate and caring as the staff. Yes, it was $270 but with is being via the emergency, it was the middle of the night, just like our emergency at the hospitals charge us so much just to send us home with meds. Emotions get high with humans when it comes to their family pets. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Taylor."
"First of all, for everyone complaining about how rude the staff is are all out of their minds. I’m not great with names, forgive me, but I remember faces and let me tell you every single face I saw the last two times I needed to take my baby, Pikachu, in for emergencies belonged to the most kindest and generous souls in there. My baby boy was suspected to have lymphoma but unfortunately with our budget, we couldn’t afford to send anything out for testing but while trying to stay in our budget we were still able to get treatment and meds for him. He responded well and the swelling in his neck/lymph nodes went down but after about a week in a half he took a turn for the worst and we had to make the tough decision and put him to sleep. Everyone was so kind and answered all of our questions and even suggested sedating him before the euthanasia just to help calm him down. I asked if I could be with him while he was being sedated and with no hesitation we were told that was completely okay and he was brought in the room with us. They sedated him first but apparently the sedation was enough to finally let me baby relax and he passed away in our arms while the staff let us have the room to ourselves so we could say our goodbye. They never once rushed us, helped us out through the process and even drew a cute design on his little box. The vet was amazing and she even remembered Pikachu and it helped her confirm more that it was lymphoma due to all the signs and swelling. Everyone who handled him pet him and showed immense compassion and even though we weren’t able to heal him, we chose an amazing place to help him cross over the rainbow bridge. Was it pricey? Of course it was but was vet isn’t?? I noticed they had MULTIPLE postings all around the office about a payment plan option they have or even other options like care credit but from what we experienced the price was always discussed prior to what they wanted to be done and not once did they shame us! They all focused on the issue presented at hand and tried their best to help us and him, even if the end result wasn’t the most desirable, it was for the best and I’ll be forever grateful I chose this place to help take care of him during his last stages in life. Thank you to the staff, especially the night shift staff ❤️ I especially appreciate the lovey ink prints we received and plan on getting them tattooed on me in remembrance of my little Pikachu. We’ll be forever grateful for you all and appreciate the amazing support and strength y’all have for helping out us pet parents. ❤️❤️❤️"
"My review went from a 5 to a 2, I should give it a 1, due to how disgusted and upset I am right now. I took my baby, Mowka to Jefferson Animal Hospital due to her vomiting and not eating. It was determined that she had to have surgery. The surgery went well the staff treated us very good. They sent us home with an E-Collar which I didn't remove until Thanksgiving. As soon as I removed it, my baby immediately started licking her left side. I kept looking and seeing scabs. My first thought was that it happened while she was in the er. I called the er the next day and was told they don't know if it was a result of her being there. I took her to the vet, and they let me know it was severe burns and that it had to have happened during surgery because they use different equipment to keep them warm after surgery. My baby's vet knows me and know I wouldn't do anything to harm her. After now knowing what was wrong with my baby I called Jefferson animal hospital back for them to tell me it's going to be $200 for her to be seen, they were so Adamant about charging me $200.09 for something they did to her. Stephanie gets on the phone and says they didn't do it because none of their equipment would have done that, she also stated they do not use antything to warm her or a warning blanket. They had to have done this. The fact that they did not take ownership of what they did to my baby sickens me. Here my baby is hurt and in pain and you all had the nerve to ask me if I used a warning blanket on my baby. I don't own a warning blanket. Besides, she had to have been sedated for this to have happened, there's no way this could happened while she was alert. They agreed to eventually pay my vet bill, but told me they can't keep paying it (for the Follow-Up) Jefferson Animal Hospital, let's be clear, YOU are the reason for the vet visits, you did this to her. You should pay for anything associated with these burns you put on her. I know it was an accident, but like my vet said, whoever did this, know they did it, but thought it would just heal. The Dr ended up saying she can't say they did it, but can't say the didn't because the warmer they used could have caused this. Now, mind you, Stephanie stated they hadn't used anything to keep her warm, so; therefore, Stephanie lied. I am so hurt that you people were going to try to charge me for something you all did, and to let y'all know, MY BABY IS IN PAIN. The fact that you people are not discussing the pain my baby is in—the pain that you've caused her—instead, you are talking about the cost. You are more worried about some money than taking accountability for what you've done, and the pain you've caused us is disgusting to me. And, yes, I said "the pain you've caused us", because when she is in pain, I am in pain. How is money more important than my baby's pain? How is money more important than doing the right thing, taking accountability, and rectifying the situation? How dare you try to point the finger at me when you know her injuries are aligned with the surgery you people performed on her?"
"My puppy got hit by a car today I live 10 min from this hospital so I didn’t waste no time getting him there. When I got there they were the WORST PEOPLE EVER TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH ANIMALS.!! They was so worried about the money they didn’t even take him out of the car they pronounced his death while in the car and went back in the building. They didn’t even try to help him just worried about me getting the money up there. This is not the right job for them very RUDE AND HAS NO COMPASSION FOR U OR UR ANIMAL. I would have paid whatever to help him I just didn’t have the money on me at the time I had on pajamas and his blood all over me but the first thing out of there mouth was do u have 650.00 and when I said no they ask could I get someone to bring it. Hers Amy little baby he will be missed he know he was loved❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
"We took our puppy, Noodle, here for an allergic reaction. They took her back and treated her immediately. The vet tech gave us very regular updates on her, letting us know how she was doing and what the next steps would be. We took her home about 1.5-2 hours later. Unfortunately, Noodle had an abnormal allergic reaction and she relapsed. We called them to let them know and they advised us to bring her back. She was again treated immediately. The same vet tech was there from our earlier visit and she was super nice again. Noodle had to be hospitalized overnight to be monitored, making sure she didn’t go into anaphylaxis. The veterinarian was very thorough. He explained what tests were given, the results, and how they impacted his plan of action. I picked Noodle up the next morning. She looked so much better. All of the front desk said bye to Noodle, pet her, and gave her love. I really feel like she was in such good hands there. They truly treated Noodle like she was their own. They were nothing but helpful, nice, and thorough. This was our first visit. Regarding pay, you pay for everything up front, but they give you and low and high end of what things could be. I personally like this because it shows you both sides of the spectrum and what charges could be anticipated. It is better to know than be surprised! I am really thankful for this hospital and how great they were to Noodle."
