Reviews of New Beginnings Bluegrass Inc
"New Beginnings is one of the most caring organizations I have ever worked with in Lexington, KY. They provide individuals with serious mental illness the opportunity to work with staff who value the client's dignity and rights. I have never encountered anyone in their employment who has been anything but fair and caring."
"As a client who has received the services of NBBIBG since 2018 I can say that I have always felt supported and heard while in this program. After my doctor referrel and application process I was welcomed with open arms. Thank God they had an open spot. I've faced several personal challenges that New Beginnings staff specifically Tracy, Christy, and Shalese helped me through. I'm appalled to read anyone in a community of people with various mental, physical, and emotional challenges have felt anything but supported and heard. I find is reasonable not to gather in the middle of a pandemic and was very appreciative of the food box in lieu of any party. This is a program of supportive housing not an orphanage or even assisted living. Any concerns or needs have been easily communicated and facilitated whether it was being signed up for Wheels, assisted in setting up my Zoom doctor appointments, moving me to a lower apartment because I had trouble with the stairs from a hip injury, quickly fixing anything broken, or helping me sign up for outside social activities. I might also add, the only time I've ever felt unsafe or was treated poorly didn't come at the hands of the staff. The frequency of inspections including checking smoke detectors, filters, and pest control is the only thing I had to get accustomed to but understandable given the climate and only for all of our safety. The only person responsible for an intentional fire is the one who set it. I speak for me and my family when I say this program has met and exceeded all of our expectations and I'm thankful to be here."
"Deny someone a job due to being deaf? You do realize there are other methods of communicating. The email just sunk whatever type of business this is. You claim equal safe housing for people with disabilities yet deny someone with a disability a job? Awful."
