"I can only speak as a patient who had a previous established mental health treatment and recommended by a therapist. I have seen many providers over the years but have been seeing Dr. Elbert at Elite Psychiatry for about a year after relocating to the area post covid and needing a provider for continuity in my care. Dr. Elbert and staff are by far one of the the most professional, caring and all around excellent provider depending on your needs. The care by the provider is genuine, down to earth and doesn't come across as judge mental "better than you" attitude I have experienced with some providers. Dr. Elbert not only listens but actually takes the time during each appointments.Elite Psychiatry is primarily responsible for any psychotropic medication management part of my treatment and any ongoing medical monitoring. I see a separate provider for the therapeutical and cognitive part of my treatment. However compared to past providers who saw me for 15 minutes maximum, my regular visits with Elite are always about 45 -60 minutes long. I am always given ample time to discuss any issues, concerns or improvements. Dr. Elbert is easy to talk too and I feel we have a good rapport so appointments never feel like a painful doctors visit as some provider make it feel. The administrative aspect is always on their A game. Whether it's a refill, insurance preauthorizations, scheduling appointment or dealing with pharmacy gestapo they are on it...I have never had to wait for preauthorizations or any other normal dealings.. The one aspect that really separates them from other providers is their online portal that allows patients to schedule appointments or other requests 24/7. My schedule is very unique so if I need to request an appointment at 12am, I don't have to wait for the normal 9-5 "office hours" since I can log in to their online portal to schedule an appointment.I wouldn't normally put such a detail review about a provider but Elite Psychiatry is the only provider I have dealt with in Kentucky who doesn't have a cookie cutter approach or attitude with mental health or medication management. I would definitely recommend Elite for anyone seeking mental health treatment."
