Reviews of Benjamin Sloop, MD
"Nurse Practioner Stacy Anderson is amazing at Clark Regional Pain Management. She cares about her patients."
"Horrible! Basically told me my pain couldn’t be as bad as I said. Condescending and said the fact that I smoked was my problem. In fact that’s all he wanted to discuss was me quitting smoking. I didn’t go there for that.I fired him after two visits."
"Dr. Sloop is a kind and takes his time with you. I recommended him highly. His staff is just as nice. Now here is the "but". I would not mention what I am about to say except I have spoken to 5 other patients that had the same problem, his NPRN or APRN whatever her title is. She is so rude, uncaring, I would like to insert the "B" word here. I have talked in the parking lot with 3 different patients crying on how they were treated. One friend called me because she knew I had went there and wanted to know what her problem is. And the 5th one wanted to know if all she heard about is true. So for him I would give all 5 stars, for her I would give none or a one star so I guess I will take the average. Just remember if you have a family emergency and try to cancel the day before, and you left 6 messages, it will be consider a no show because you did not speak to a person. Stacy and I got into a shouting match on that one. So good luck if you are switched to her."
"Very rude and extremely judgmental. Doesn't listen to the patient, and talks in a demeaning, condescending manner. Just because you may not physically look the way they want weight wise or in other ways due to medical issues, etc."
"If I could give less than one star I would. The staff at this facility are among the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in my entire life. While Dr. Sloop was kind and empathetic, his staff were completely the opposite. They were demeaning, argumentative, unprofessional, and should be embarrassed to call themselves “care” givers. I have never taken illicit drugs in my entire life but somehow my urine showed otherwise. I’m convinced they mislabeled my urine. When I was retested, my urine was clean but that somehow did not vindicate me in their eyes. Then I was given two different appointment times on the same day. I called 18 times for clarification but did not receive a return call until my appointment had passed. I was told they don’t have to answer the phone or return calls for 72 hours because they are busy. They considered me a “no show” and that was my second strike according to them. They said I should have come to the clinic to have the discrepancy straightened out. On my next appointment I was told that since I missed the appointment I was confused about and didn’t have my script filled that I must not need medication for pain because I chose to go without instead of coming in to have my last appointment time straightened out. Then I was told I should seek care elsewhere because I was not a good patient. I was, and am, flabbergasted. I will write reviews and tell anyone who will listen to please not go here for help. As a nurse myself, I am absolutely floored that this place is even open. They left me in tears and in pain. I’ve never been treated so badly by a medical office in my life. Do yourself a favor and look for another office."
