Pratt Museum
About the Business
The Pratt Museum, located at 5702 Tennessee Avenue in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, is a must-visit tourist attraction and museum. Established in 1956, the museum serves as the official museum for the 101st Airborne Division, also known as the "Screaming Eagles." The exhibits at the Pratt Museum cover the history of the division from the early 1940s to the present day, including personal memorabilia donated by military leaders.
One of the highlights of the museum is a completely restored CG-4A cargo glider from World War II, as well as 17th century bronze eagles and a Dutch Manuscript recognizing the division's role in liberating Holland. The museum also features captured enemy weapons, a Vietnam recruiter's jeep, and items belonging to high-ranking Nazi officials.
Visitors can explore the museum's outdoor park, which displays various military aircraft and equipment used by the division. The centerpiece of the park is the "Brass Hat," a fully restored C-47 aircraft similar to the one used by Major General Maxwell D. Taylor during WWII. The museum also offers guided and unguided tours, a reference library, historical films, a gift shop, and educational programs.
While the main focus of the museum is on the history of the 101st Airborne Division, there are also displays dedicated to early developments in airborne warfare, including the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. The Fort Campbell Historical Foundation supports the museum and is dedicated to constructing the Wings of Liberty Military Museum, America's only Museum of Patriotism.

"I’ve been stationed in Campbell for 7 years and wasn’t able to visit until I retired. I loved it and I took family there. Really reminds me of sacrifices made by soldiers just to keep our country safe. I love that there’s a gift shop here."
"This is an amazing place to visit. It is FREE to enter. There are many exhibits walking you through the history of the airborne military units with displays for each war/ conflict. There are displays about the changes in uniforms throughout the years. There are displays of enemy guns and uniforms. There are jeeps, military vehicles, helicopters, and a life size model of a plane you can climb into. There is a memorial fir 9/11 with pieces of debris from the towers inside. There are captured military artillery, planes, vehicles, and helicopters outdoors. There are monuments to those who have lost their lives outside. Absolutely recommend this place!! It's top- notch!"
"This museum is small but really nice inside. It follows the history of Fort Campbell and the 101st airborne. There are several cool exhibits plus a cool outside memorial with several full size aircraft and artillery. If your visiting your soldier you need to stop by."
"This is a free military museum on Ft. Campbell army base, home to the 101st airborne and special avaition divisions. Stop at the welcome center by the front gate to get your pass. A nice museum with lots of displays inside and many static displays outside. Expect to see helicopters, planes, tanks, guns, etc. and much more. I easily spent 2.5 hrs there enjoying it. Check it out if you're in the area"
