"Choosing Nova Counseling saved my life. EMDR therapy with Selena has undoubtedly changed my life forever. I have grown as a person and learned more about trauma, relationships, and boundaries than I ever thought possible. If you are on the fence about therapy services, take a leap of faith and call Nova Counseling. If you invest the time, energy, and effort into your sessions, you will be so glad that you did."
"Wonderful staff, very helpful with scheduling etc for established patients. Selena has been amazing for the last several years."
"This is the best therapy practice I have ever been to. The atmosphere is calming and comfortable and the staff is compassionate and friendly. I had to wait a few weeks to be seen initially, but the wait was absolutely worth it. The therapist’s knowledge of EMDR and other practices have helped me to work through years of trauma and anxiety. I highly recommend Nova Counseling to anyone in the Louisville area."
"The staff were very professional and courteous. The waiting room was well lit and decorative. There were plenty of things to read. It was very clean and precautions to keep disease from spreading according to CDC regulations were followed closely. I was impressed with their professionalism. We had an appointment on March 17, 2022 and according to a counselor mask wearing is not mandated any more."
"I was in the middle of resolving some issues when I had to retire. I did not receive my retirement for months. I still had insurance though. I called to inform, advise and make arrangements for payments. I was on a stipend; which means if we cannot kill you with low pay for months then we will give you retirement, and wanted to make arrangements to make payments the first of the month until my pay was fixed. The flat answer was we will not see you without your co-pay at the time of service. Insurance was still paying the 80% share; but they refused to continue treatment until I could come up with the full bill. I was going to pay the co-pays at the 1st of each month when I got paid. That is some caring for your patients. Just when I needed you most you abandoned me for $40!"
