"To preface, I experienced an extreme and unique traumatic event. I went to Lionheart because of their claims on being experts with trauma and ptsd. They paired me with a therapist who had only recently graduated. I’m sure she was capable in her own right, but I felt uncomfortable exposing this young girl to my trauma. They then referred me to the owner of the practice who spent almost our entire first session talking about herself. After her spiel, she told me she wasn’t going to ask me about my incident, or talk about it in the slightest, and that I would be “cured” (her exact verbiage) in one session because my trauma was only one incident and not a repeat situation. She was also very insistent on recording our session so she could appear in court even though I explicitly stated that I was not comfortable sharing my story on camera. She seemed very intrigued by going to the trial. I left the practice in tears, feeling ashamed and embarrassed. If you have suffered any sort of extreme trauma I would not recommend Lionheart."

Katherine tried to refer me to another therapist but I was determined to be have her.
