"Updating a previous review... again. Our initial experience with this business was a nightmare due to client portal issues - these have been corrected! However, we continue to have issues with communication. Calling the counseling center is basically useless, it seems like the online chat feature is the only way to get direct communication. Call me old-school but when you have issues a phone call is not only easier, but also feels more personal and like your concerns are actively being addressed without distractions. We do not have access to speak directly to any providers unless we have an appointment (you will not receive any direct contact information even once you've met with them, if there is an emergency or issue you have to go through the office and hope they can contact your provider for you). Apparently one of our providers had issues being verified with our insurance (although I sat with someone on the phone while they searched their system for a provider that does take our insurance) & we were never notified of the change/issue. We feel that the office was just going to keep having us see them without letting us know. We only found out when we tried to reschedule an appointment (which had to be done via the online chat) and were told scheduling with them is no longer an option."

"KCC makes mental health manageable. They have multiple providers to choose from and if you don't mesh well, changing providers isn't a hassle. Everything is available online so you don't have the added stress of going out to go to an appointment. They hav therapy, medication management, and case management available for those who need it."

"Had a great experience with my counselor. Was met with a caring and non-judgmental approach. They were able to fit me in for a telehealth appointment on a holiday weekend which was very heavy for me (losing my parents around the holidays). Would recommend them to anyone and already have!"

"I have only had one appointment so far and I'm scheduled for my second session later today. So far I can say the reason I chose KCC is simply because they offered telehealth appointments and in the past when I attempted counseling or really any appointments that were at a location in which I had to leave my home, I would reschedule then cancel then just no longer attend. With KCC not only can I receive the treatment that I need, I can do this in the comfort of my own home. As for the counselor/therapist I was matched with, given I've only seen her once. She was extremely nice. Seemed very sincere about my needs and easy to talk to. I felt like she truly wants to help. KCC also accepts medicaid which is a blessing. Especially if someone was homebound but still needed treatment. I have now scheduled my teenage daughter for services as well."
