"If you are a single parent, or have a busy schedule where you need a set appointment day and time each week I strongly encourage you look elsewhere. Your child will be treated like they don’t matter and they are less important than other patients. I feel I’m being generous giving them two stars. I informed Shanna Case of my situation and that I would prefer to have Wednesdays to bring my daughter for her speech therapy, it’s my day off. Shanna said she could not accommodate my request for Wednesdays and that no other SLP out of the several other SLPs at the Crestwood location or any other location in Louisville could accommodate Wednesdays. Shanna informed me she could do Tuesdays. I then informed Shanna that is not ideal but I could make it work with my job if it was consistently at the same time each week on Tuesdays, and that any time in the afternoon would work as long as it again was at the same time each week. In the following weeks during my daughter’s appointments Shanna worked on the same exercise with her for months and didn’t introduce a new exercise in addition to the old exercise even though my daughter was making progress with the exercise we had been working on. Shanna at the end of my daughter’s appointment would always say she needed to look at her schedule for the following week and she would let me know where she could schedule us. Shanna would often reach out several days later with the appointment time for the upcoming week. This puts me in a tough spot asking off of work with little notice, and also why is my daughter, an established patient being fit in to your schedule? Why does she need to be fit in? I talked to Shanna about this and she made several excuses and tried to make it seem like it was my fault, which is not okay at all. Shanna told me the director of Patient Relations would reach out to me, and I was finally given a call several days after Shanna said she told them to call me. And I was only called because for my daughters most recent appointment needed to be rescheduled because I was given basically two days to tell my work about my daughter’s appointment. I couldn’t leave work and surprise, Shanna couldn’t accommodate a video appointment. Shanna told me on 2/23/24 that she could see my daughter on 2/27/24. I reached out to Shanna to see when the appointment would be, she did not reach out to me the whole week. After speaking with Emily on 2/27/24 around 1:30 pm (I think that’s her name, maybe she a the director of patient relations I don’t know she never told me her title) and relaying my concerns. Emily also tried to say it was partially my fault and tried to skirt responsibility onto me. Which I feel is ridiculous. Emily told me she would call around and try her hardest to see if she could find someone who could accommodate Wednesday, but she could not make any promises. Okay, fine. Emily told me she’d call me by the end of the day 2/27/24 or the morning of 2/28/24. Here I am writing this review on 2/28/24 at 3:57 pm and I haven’t received a phone call, email, or text. Shameful. This is about a child who needs help. *Edit to add that Emily did give me a return call at 6:22 pm on 2/28/24 and apologized for not reaching out earlier. And that she would address my voicemails not being returned with her team tomorrow. She is still trying to see if there is another SLP who can see my daughter on Wednesday. So we’ll see how it goes.*"
