"My Wife and I stayed at the Hampton this past weekend and was very impressed with the overall condition and the courteous of the staff, especially with Rose Brown-Weeder. She was absolutely great and so helpful. We had our Golden Retriever with us and you would had thought he was the most important creature in Austin. Shadow was treated like royalty and everyone knew him by first name. The Hampton will be my motel in Austin from now on."
"Stayed a few days before Christmas until the day after Christmas. First time in Texas , didn't know what to expect but the stay at the hotel made it pretty easy to enjoy! The staff on my check-in didn't acknowledge me when I walked in however I'm prone to self check in so it didn't bother me all that much. Elevators do require key access so that was something I did have to go back down for at one point because to me it's easier having a physical key. Walking into the room my name was on the TV, a consistent touch from a previous visit in another state. The room had a great view for me personally as I could see the mountains, nearby establishments and the sunset. I did not rent a car so I cannot speak on the parking situation. Ubers/lyfts were very affordable especially with most stores and restaurants being in close proximity. I was able to Uber eats and even get staples from target delivered which was super convenient. Upon booking my reservation which I called about I did request a microwave as again being there during Christmas I was going to have to fend for myself a whole day and that was not there when I arrived but I went down and reminded them and they were super gracious to check and have one brought up. The gym and pool were in the middle of the hotel which was a bit different but the views!! The views were really nice. The breakfast was rotating and the cute Texas shaped waffles were a cute touch. That salsa! I wish I could bottle and bring home. The gift shop is what you see is what you get so if you see something you like get it because no guarantees it will be there when you come back. Special shout out to Rose who was phenomenal!! The only reason I knocked a star was because anytime I would take a steamy shower I would start sneezing pretty bad consecutively right in the middle of my shower. I've used the body wash at another location so I really deny it being the bath products and attribute it to some mold somewhere as I've been tested and am positive to being allergic to mold. That was a bit of a bummer because I like a nice hot shower at the end of a long day and I had to use cooler water and make them very short. I would go to bed a little stuffy and wake up the same but after a few hours it wore off(until I showered again). There was construction at the hotel across the street(no complaints here about noise or anything, just an observation) and a few streets behind the hotel so there were just a few detours. Other than that lovely stay"
"I had only planned to stay one night at this hotel over the Christmas weekend. I enjoyed my stay so much, I added two more nights instead of my usual stay with family. The hotel has a nice contemporary vibe and is well kept. The single-bed room was more spacious than I'd anticipated and also contemporary. I had the best sleep I've ever had in a hotel here. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. Given it's location and that it was the holidays, I was surprised and thankful that the price was budget-friendly for me. Highly recommended."
"I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel staff is amazing, the rooms are spacious, the shower was the all around best I have ever experienced at a hotel. The rooftop pool and view was a nice after a day at work, the Austin skyline is beautiful. I visit Austin 1x a month and will definitely be back, I highly recommend this hotel."
"This is the most expensive Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at. I get it, though, it's in Downtown Austin and very conveniently located. It's located close to the UT campus and several places of interest including the central part of Downtown. The people working here are great. They were all very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was nice enough. There were some things I wish were different: The room was very hot to me. Even though we had the thermostat turned down to 65, because the AC unit was situated in the opposite side of the room from the bed, it never got that cool. I loved that the room had a ceiling fan, but there was not way to control how fast or slow it ran. This made it pretty much useless except for decoration. The hot water was OK and we never ran out. It would have been nice to have it a little hotter for shaving. The water pressure in the shower was great. The refrigerator made an awful, high-pitched noise. Even though the kitchenette area was situated away from the bed, the sound carried over and was a bit annoying. The breakfast was OK, but not the best Hampton breakfast I've ever had."
