"Air Assault! 10 toughest days in the Army! The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) on-post school every new Screaming Eagle should attend and complete. Right across from my favorite range..."Range B-7". Flew a few UH-60 CS aerial spray missions out of there, as well as UH-1H outfitted rotary CS/PEG 200 aircraft for "NBC"/CBRN division, brigade, and battalion training exercises. Wrote the first CBRN STX lane scenario for this range. Wrote the first CS chamber SOP for this range. Flight OIC of the first aerial CS spray missions out of this range. And processed over 5,000 Air Assault soldiers thru mask confidence and M256A1 kit training, prior to deployment to "mission top secret----destination unknown"! Air Assault!!!"

"I graduated from Air Assault School in the beginning of 2014. It was a decent school. I'm sure it's changed a lot and improved since I graduated. The part that needed the most improvement was the instructors who felt the need to yell and curse just to prove their point. Other than that, it was a well-run, efficiently managed course. Hopefully one day the Army changes the MTOEs to require the 2B ASI in the formations at Fort Campbell. Not having the ASI hard-coded into the formations doesn't give command teams any authority to send Soldiers to Air Assault School. That was one of the more challenging problems I faced as a company commander in the 101st."
