"This review is for the Cox and Kings WEBSITE for OCI application-NOT a specific location! This has to be one of the worst and most complicated process ever. The instructions of the website are terrible. Nothing is streamlined. First apply for renunciation(which requires a notary of lost indian passport), then go to 2 other websites and apply for OCI. Then the mail process. I have completely given up my desire to get an OCI application. Will just apply for tourist visa whenever i need to go to India. Just not worth it. India does not apply its IT brilliance to its own infrastructure. Also- Politicians need to cut ties with this incompetent company, i cannot believe the government of India contracts with such a horrible company! The ties need to be investigated!"

"$650 and adding up fast with no results I submitted my complete package. (Fee of $250) One of the forms asked me for Surname (Last name) and my First and/or Middle name. So I put my first name where it asked for First Name. They rejected my application stating it did not match my Passport. Well the First name matched my first name, and my last name matched my last name. Apparently they wanted my Middle name on that form. For only that reason they returned the entire packet to me. Because of that simple omission I was required to apply a second time. For which they charged me a second $250 Fee. Also, the website wound not allow me to purchase another shipment of the identical documents. It kept replying that the document had been shipped. Which was accurate, it was shipped back to me to add my Middle name. But would not allow me to purchase another shipment. This resulted in creating my own shipping label through UPS. The rush deleivery each way was $105 to them, and $95 back to me. Now that my second application has been processed and is complete, they refuse to return the US Passport to me. They are stating that the shipping label does not match the documents. I am being told that the document for shipping is incomplete, and yet this is the SAME address they shipped the rejected application and passport to just 5 days prior. I have had to contact the Houston Police department to report my Passport as stolen. I have other Visa's to additional countries in that passport. I will have to replace those as well at an additional cost. Not only have I lost income being unable to make 2 trips to India, I have paid out nearly $750 in fees to produce a "stolen Passport" I will have to replace the passport and reapply for Visa's to three other countries for my Business at a cost of several thousand dollars and time spent applying. CKGS is the most frustrating and inflexible "Customer Service" I have ever encountered. but you have No options thanks to the Government of India - So just Embrace the Suck"

"Fast, excellent helpful staff ms Namita at their best, never received such excellent service ever in US, hats off. Location is awesome as well, nice view from their office."

"Too much delay in receiving updates or response. Even after 4 weeks of submitting the renewal application, it still shows Under Process. My friends passports are being renewed and sent in 2 to 3 weeks most. No communications from CKGS or embassy so far. All required docs submitted. Customer care response is also very slow. Phone line says open from 9am to 10pm EST on website, but when I called at 6pm EST, it says center is closed. Just worried as what is going on with passport and original docs submitted."

"Don't buy shipping labels through CKGS. I bought UPS labels through CKGS and I dropped my package in UPS store (McArthur Road, Irving, TX) for shipping on 24th July but the UPS didn't ship the package until I called UPS customer service (CKGS didn't take care of the shipping after drop off) and since it was not delivered in 24 hrs UPS was ready to refund the shipping charges but ups asked me to request through CKGS (Because I bought the service through CKGS i.e. I didn't directly paid to UPS). I requested CKGS to talk to UPS for refund but CKGS was not even intrested to talk to them and directly told that any of the funds are non refundable. But, the application processing was quicker. I received my passport in two weeks."
