Reviews
"there should be a Zero star vote... This school not only discriminates, but abuses disabled children. One child was locked inside a dufel bag, not for misbehaving, but for having a disability. This school should not exist. Look up Christopher Baker/Mercer County Intermediate School and you will find the truth about this school and how it treats children with disabilities. If you're child was blind, would you find it appropriate that they, without permission, take it upon themselves to "provide therapy" for your child? In the form of snapping in the ears of, or laughing at, and saying, "am I over here, or am I over here?" Basically taunting and traumatizing your child rather than providing any sort of real "therapy"? Or just for example if your child was deaf, would you be okay with the staff covering your deaf child's eyes and laughing at and making fun of them and causing the other children in class to join in the ridicule and then claim it was to "provide therapy" for your child? If you live in this neighborhood or area and are the parent of a disabled child, I strongly suggest you DO NOT allow your child to attend this school. And I would also suggest that you write or contact your local Government representative to make it known why you aren't comfortable with your disabled child attending this school. I live in Oregon and am a parent of an autistic child. This school has nothing to do with me or my child, but I can't ignore these issues because I wouldn't want my child to ever be forced to attend a school that intends to belittle and devalue him. Please don't let your child fall victim to this type of behavior..."
