"Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced… hope the guy and the wife go bankrupt honestly."

"We own a Robot M200 and it was not working properly. We contacted the company we bought it from and they said it was under warranty and looked up the closest repair store to us . It listed skippers . We took it over and a month later we were told it was fixed but charged us $80.00 for labor . Again it was under warranty . We got it home and put in pool and it was still not fixed . We took it back and and received a call about 2 weeks later telling us it was not under warranty and what the repairs were needed . As I called and asked to talk to owner a lady explained everything about our robot and again asked to speak to owner . He immediately got on the phone and when I say I have never been spoken to the way he did to me .. I was shocked how mean and rude he was to me .. I told him it was not fixed and here it was 6 weeks later and was charged 80.00 for labor . He said “that’s what you get for buying off of Amazon” I said we didn’t buy it off of Amazon. I said I feel like you should give me back the 80.00 because it’s still broken . He said good luck getting it back .. he hung up on me .. I was so upset the way I was treated. He called back about 10 min later to tell me he was having a bad day.. I said you should have never treated me that way and I will never use them again.. again I have never been treated so poorly from a business .. so here were are 8 weeks later with a broken robot still not fixed ."

Update. 6/23 I’ve gone from 1 to 5 stars, and not as a result from my initial review.....my review was never even addressed, so there performance wasn’t from the result of a “bad review” My initial review was based on a local company trying to navigate through 2020 the best they could. My patience ran out after waiting nearly a year and a half for a pool, and then the install process. I will admit I didn’t know the full story of factories delaying orders, and then the sudden rush of installs once the pools started coming off the line. With that said, Skipper and his team have been fantastic. Once our pool was installed, we had a couple of very minor issues, which really turned out to not be issues, and they had people at my house same day, even checking again the next morning to ensure everything was up to standard. The crew that came were professional and knowledgeable, very easy to work with. The installer that skipper suggested, Anderson, was fantastic. Again, not realizing what goes into the install, I let myself get frustrated with the process. However, once they had adequate weather, they were at my house doing absolutely fantastic work. The crew he brought was great and they had us up and running in just a few hours, including leveling ground. Overall, Skippers has turned out to be pretty top notch. If I have one suggestion, be patient. 2020 was very hard on local businesses that were at the whim of national factories producing the products that they sell. There is only so much they can do. From my point of view, Skipper and his store are a fantastic part of this community and my initial review/experience was written out of lack of patience and understanding. Thanks Skipper! We look forward with doing business with you well into the future!"

"I was losing water for over 2 season's and had multiple companies out to locate and repair the issue. Skipper's team was not only able to locate but actually able to repair the issue and at fair market price. Much to my surprise they located the leak in the quickest time of all the services that came out. His team replaced my 1 return line in the ground that split to two returns and made a double line that I now have individual shut off valves in event I get another leak. They patched the concrete where they had to get access and it looks great. These guys do it right! In addition, I had him install a pool heater at the end of this last pool season and am very please with the product and installation. Over my 28 years as a pool owner, I've had a hard time getting companies out to repair or service my pool. Skipper's is now my one and only go to store. He and staff has earned my business; so I highly recommend them. Thank you Skipper and Team!"

"The guys that came out did a great job setting up the hot tub that came with my new home. I originally only gave 3 stars because I wasn't super happy with the customer service at the store itself and then I realized the hot tub never really worked after they came out and set it up (I don't think it was because of anything they did). I called back and asked them to come out and take a look and let me know what the issue was. I wasn't expecting much and I was prepared to have to pay for a service call. Skipper himself called me back after reading my original review, he was very nice, and did seem to want to fix the issue. He sent people out to look at the hot tub and hopefully fixed what was wrong with it (they just left a few hours ago so it's too soon to tell) without an extra charge. They also were able to give me a time of day they would be here this visit which they didn't do the first visit and was one of the reasons I wasn't really happy with the customer service at the time. This second time around I am very pleased with the service all around and again, the guys that actually came out to the house were really great. I think even if the other pool and spa companies in town offered the same services I would stick with Skippers. I will definitely continue using them for the ongoing care and upkeep of the hot tub and eventually a pool."
