"Our family has been part of the Spps family since our child was a baby. From him learning to crawl to now learning math in first grade Spps has been there. We feel blessed that we are part of a caring and nurturing environment for our child. I cannot recommend this place enough."
"We have 3 children at Sts. Peter and Paul, and we could not be more impressed by our experience. Our children have flourished over the past 6 years at SPPS. We appreciate the small class sizes, resources and technology, farm to table meals, and opportunities and environment that a downtown campus provides (including walking field trips to the Opera House, Children’s Theater, Library, and more). I know SPPS has not only helped them grow academically, but it also focuses on ensuring they are thoughtful and respectful of peers and the community. They have nimbly adapted in light of COVID and have been able to provide an exceptional in-person learning experience without compromising our children’s safety. In short, we can’t recommend SPPS enough!"
"SPPS has been a wonderful school for our three children. The class sizes are kept very small and some of our closest friends are families that we've been able to meet through the school. The President has an open door policy and is always willing to sit down and listen to parent and student feedback in a continual effort to improve the experiences of everyone. The culture from administration to parents to students is one of love and pride for the school. The staff is some of the most caring and genuine people that you could hope for your children to be around. The school is located in the heart of downtown and the children are able to take advantage of field trips to nearby theaters, opera house, and museums to expand their education beyond the walls of the school. We are truly thankful for such a loving and nurturing environment for our children."
"SPPS is a disgrace to the Lexington community. My daughter attended the school from Kindergarten until the 5th grade, and luckily the latter was cut short due to Covid-19. Her experience was horrible, and so was mine since I would suffer with her. My daughter was constantly bullied by her peers (mainly the boys), and every single incident was reported to the administration. I went through the proper channels, from teacher, to the principal, to the president, and all the way to the superintendent. I was ignored and the issue was never solved. I even tried communicating with one of the mothers, but that was a huge mistake. She was as rude (if not more) than the school administration. I had very high expectations for this institution, number one for the simple fact of being private (and quite expensive), and number two for being "catholic". However, that really does not make a difference these days. In addition to the constant bullying, they have a particular instructor that is extremely disrespectful and even aggressive with the children. I experience this myself firsthand and it was not a good experience, in light of the situation with him, I had to call for a mediation with the president and the principal of the school. I honestly don't think that there were any consequences for him; just like there were no consequences for the children that bullied my daughter. Shame on the administration and the parents of those kids. The last thing I was told (by the president) was that if I didn't like it there, for me to go elsewhere. Please do not take your child to this place, don't waste your time or your money. I highly recommend The Lexington School; much better people, genuine, and take interest in your child wellbeing."
"My family has been with SPPS since 2014 when we entered the Early Childhood Center for daycare/Little Angels program. We stuck around for preschool. We're not a Catholic family and our plan was to enter public school for kindergarten--but after touring (some excellent) public schools, we knew that the small class sized, faith based community at SPPS was for us. I love that they know our names and family when we walk in the front door--I can pick up the phone at any time, whether we're running behind or have a question. My 6-year-old is reading above and beyond her grade level and the school provides a number of field trips and arts experiences to expand her horizons. Most importantly, her teachers provide a loving (though disciplined) routine and environment for her to reinforce what we teach at home. Now, child #2 is at the Early Childhood Campus and we're a SPPS family through-and-through."
