"As a retired pharmacist moving from a northern suburb of Chicago, Lake Forest, to Midway. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to have the Railroad Drugstore. I was the manager of the tony pharmacy in the iconic Palmer House Hotel, with the popular soda fountain visited by celebrities performing at the Palmer House, Bob Hope, Phyllis Diller, and many others. The sodas and malts were the best made by what was called a 'soda jerk'. To have a retro soda fountain in Midway is the BEST plus the lovely friendly family owners. Have a chili dog and malt while you wait for your prescription to be filled, an experience not available at Walgreen's or CVS!"

"Switched my rx to Railroad Drug after Kroger was no longer considered in-network for my insurance and I wish I had switched sooner! No long lines or rude people here. My rx has always been ready promptly and the people are so friendly and I am in and out of there so fast (unlike at the big pharmacy stores where you are waiting in line for 20+ minutes). They also have free delivery for your prescriptions if you live nearby which makes my life so much easier as a mom."
