"It was a nice place to live I live there for several years but they just keep raising the rent raising the cost of trash and everything else I thought this was a poor place to live but they think you have to be wealthy to live here people live here because they don't have much money and then they keep raising the rent I don't see how they think people are going to be able to afford their bills It's just a shame especially for the people that's been and hilltop for all them and hilltop for all them years and hilltop for all them years and hilltop for all them years and hilltop for all in Richmond estates for all them years helping to pave the way living there they're basically pushing them out by raising the room and then they don't even salt the roads and they don't really fix the roads but they will keep adding speed bumps and raising rent for the poor I don't really get it and you're only allowed to have one garbage can unless you pay more money again they're raising garbage 10 more bucks It's $30 just for one can are you kidding me Like I said this supposed to be for the poor I thought They keep talking about they will have security in the park that has never been a thing but they talk about it a lot then the manager is never in the office And when she is she's actually busy she's got too much stuff to do so you can't really go up and tell them anything But if you do have kids they can play at the park and be watched by the managers all day or the crackheads But they can't go in the woods and they can't go in front of the park or the back of the park or they get yelled at can't have campfires fire pits They want to take everything away and keep charging rent It's out of control"
"I've lived here for almost 5 years! I've throughly enjoyed the home & the help I've received since living here. Jenay has always been great with communication & keeping things clear with me."
"I moved in as soon as new management took over. Jenay has done a really good job at cleaning the place up. It’s looking better than it did before. Tearing out things and putting new stuff in. If you’re interested in moving in I would recommend ! The street I live on is quiet and I have nice neighbors."
"Living at Richmond Estates is a new experience for my mother and myself. We have seen a lot of changes for the better since we moved in. Jenay is by far a great property manager. She came into a mess from the previous managers and she has really turned this place around, along with some of the attitudes among other people that live here. I can’t wait to see the future changes that are coming. Hopefully we will have our pool open soon."
"My family and I moved into Richmond Estates in late August 2023. We had an excellent experience from beginning to end. The manager was informative and went out of her way to meet me on a weekend. I stopped by on 2 different occasions within a week without an appointment and saw the manager picking up trash in the park. How often do you see that?!?!? To read these other reviews is shocking compared to what we saw over a 4 week process when working with her. I can say the same about Maintenance . Something that people need to realize is there are only 2 of them and probably a couple hundred of us, so while you’re complaining try to remember they are human. I’ve had 2 different work orders, and both were handled with excellence! They were both non-emergencies so it did take a few days but that’s to be expected! This company has not owned the park very long, but just since August when we moved in, we can see a huge difference and improvements already! For those talking about not being able to reach the office, I know from experience while we were meeting with the manager the phone was ringing off the hook. She didn’t stop our meeting to answer it so try to remember you weren’t the only one they are working for. Would you want her to interrupt your meeting to answer phones? Be patient! The following morning, my mother and I stopped again without an appointment and she was returning calls on her voicemail. Maybe you’re not getting a call back in the time you feel you should be getting it, but I witnessed her returning calls. (Did I mention she was out picking up trash in the rain)? You don’t see that very often. Try not to compare previous owners/managers to current managers and give them the chance to make the changes necessary. We have really enjoyed living here and not only is the staff working hard to take care of their tenants, but they actually care about the grounds and the junk piled up around the homes that make our homes look like dumps! Keep your home and yard clean, do your part, since it’s where are you live! they are both friendly and professional! The maintenance man is very knowledgeable, and even though we had to order a part, he came back as soon as the part came in and installed it in our dishwasher. Remember dishwashers are not emergencies. It’s a luxury not a necessity. If you’re having a bad experience, give it a little thought, and ask yourself why. Go talk to her, she’s not like other managers I’ve experienced, she’s nice as can be and will do what she can to resolve the problem! She has gone over and beyond for us and other families I spoke to, and that speaks volumes! If you are “hearing” something different then you’ve most likely heard it from somebody else, and not experienced it yourself. Give her a shot managers aren’t there to make life harder there to help you! She even helped my neighbor get her rent paid when she was out of work sick. She reached out to the manager and within days she had an application put in for assistance. How many managers will help walk you through that!!!!! When you are complaining about the little stuff, try to picture yourself as 1 person juggling multiple issues, work orders, moving people in and moving people out, and the other hundred things managers do. All you have to do is talk to her I can guarantee IF she can’t resolve the issue she will reach out to someone who can. Maybe your issues aren’t the staff at all, maybe the issues are you. Since August I have met several new people they moved in and they all told me what a great experience they had, including my own family that moved in in October. Taking over a new park is demanding and it takes time to get up to standard but those who say they don’t see a difference is blind. This place was a dump and was for many years! We can’t say that now! You aren’t the only tenant, give them the chance to fix your issue before bashing them. I can only imagine how many of these negative reviews actually went to the manager with this issue before posting a review. My guess is very few if any!"
