"Such an amazing property. We have had a great experience partnering with the owners and enjoying what they have worked so hard to build. Definitely a perfect place to get the full Kentucky experience"
"What was promised is not what it was like. $20 admission is a hefty price for being able to do everything within 10 minutes. You can actually see everything from the road in regards to lights. The lady at the front gate was pleasant and actually got us excited about what we were going to see. The barn is charming inside but the “shops” are literally someone selling t.y. Beanie babies, ornaments, some paintings, and wreaths. The hot cocoa has a child in regular clothing running throughout and coming to squirm at the stand only when people look like they might stop by but no Christmas or staff attire so hard to know if she’s actually working the stand or just someone’s child sitting in the chair. I really thought we may get a photo with Santa even though my child is 16 but it would have been a little creepy. Not a lot of “Santa” personality. This beautiful venue has so much room for improvement. (I.e., kettle corn, food concessions, homemade candies/baked goods, KY proud items, face paintings, nativity within a stable telling the story of the birth of Jesus, carolers etc.) We literally walked in down to one end and right back out. The website said that there were light displays on the water which was only ONE thing. The decorations were mainly advertisement for using them for a wedding venue. The “Laser” light show was a projector on the house that did not even go with the music so tuning to a radio station was unnecessary and irrelevant. The house did not even have lights on like it does on the website and this was not a night listed as not having lights. The reflection of the barn in the water was the most beautiful thing we saw and honestly I just can’t believe we paid $20 to see this. I would have been happier if the display was free and if the farm asked for donations during these hard times rather than feeling like I was scammed or misled at least. Save the $20 and go to Buffalo Trace (free) or Southern Lights at the KY Horsepark ($25 for three miles of lights). In Lexington there are also several free light displays set to music that are way more entertaining. This farm / B&B has great potential to have something beautiful but this first year they should have maybe done it for free, and take donations and improvement tips."
"We try to shop, explore and go to local family businesses, this was no exception. We found out this was Queenslake's first Christmas season with holiday lights at their farm. The cost was $20 per car, which we gladly paid, and were excited about what we thought we may see. Unfortunately we were greatly disappointed. The display promised by their website was not even close to what they had, which was very underwhelming. They had a nice display of digital lighting on the facade of a large house on site, but the paths weren't well lit, there was much confusion to the flow of cars, and it was an overall let down. Hopefully as we they grow and get more lighting displays and they get the kinks it will get better"
"John and Claire were hospitable and kind. What a beautiful setting for a weekend get away. Just an awesome venue and a breathtaking, beautiful view of horse country. And where else do you see a private 40 acre lake in the country side? Will be back."
