"Everything seemed to be fine at first. Recently maybe 2 months ago my Wife and I removed both of our children from the facility after countless neglectful experiences. Over the course of our kids being enrolled we started to see signs of child neglect. Not to mention how easily it is to get inside of this daycare. Nothing is secured. I once picked my older son (3) up and the children were alone in the room by their selves with the door unlocked and the teacher was in the rest room. I stood and waited about 5 minutes until she came out because I wanted her to know who picked my son up. Again anybody could have entered and grabbed a child. She could have easily asked for assistance while she used to restroom. 1st major Red Flag. My child would also very frequently would come home with scrapes and bruises that noone could explain what happened. No incident report or anything. Now I do know how rough little boys can be but still that does not mean that an explanation shouldn't be given. In the short time that my children were enrolled, mostly all of their teachers quit and one even told us that we probably would want to take our children out. After careful consideration we decided to let them stay and give all of the new teachers a chance. Well a month or so later we received a video via their system of my youngest son (1) engaging very inappropriately with a toy and literarily gagging and making choking gestures with the toy. Two teachers were spotted in the video and neither of them corrected this action or saw anything wrong. After confronting the teacher, the video was quickly deleted but not before I saved it to my phone for reference. This was our last red flag and we immediately pulled both of our children from the facility. I believe this place has great potential but its the small things that ultimately result in negative experiences. I am still being contacted for payment of the two days that they attended the daycare before we pulled them. It is clear that this facility is money driven and not much about the care of the children."
"I received a call stating My son was no longer welcome to to come back within 3-4 hours of being here (on his first day!) I was told my son was aggressive and when they called me he was crying sounded beyond distressed. My son is non verbal therefore I cannot imagine what he was going through during this time. Also he just got over a ear infection. I feel as if no one wanted to give him a try or etc. i really hate this happened to us and this forced me out of work. (AND IM 9 months PREGNANT!) I would appreciate it if they would of said come back another day until he calms down maybe that was to much for him today or etc. but no not a chance even for my son. When I picked him up he ran up to me shaking whole face puffy and red. I was just handed over his things and told my money was refunded… ever since I took him he has been fine with the patient childcare he needs . Again I really hate this happened but it just meant that this place was not meant for him. Therefore if you have a non verbal child or a child that expresses with their hands temporarily then I wouldn’t recommend here.."
"I like the staff a lot! They seem to care for the babies. The owner (Jo Ann) is not friendly. If she was the one to deal with my kids, I'd pull them out immediately but my kids like the staff. When I first signed up, I was told that I'd get 10% off both kids and another 10% off if I paid for the entire month in advance. I signed up and placed my kids in the program only to find out that the manager would not honor the promotion that was written. I had already started my job and had a new baby there so I kept them in but I do not know how long. It still bothers me that she was so rude and doesn't seem to like kids. She is all about the money and not the kids. I do not interact with her as her interpersonal skills are deplorable. I see her seeing this as a good business model but the staff all dislike her but are scared of her. I hope she sees this and fixes the employee and customer perception. Advice to Jo Anna: Honor what is promoted as it only keeps the referrals coming!!! They also feed the kids Frosted Flakes and high sugar content foods. I asked if they were part of the food program by the state and was told that breakfast is a "free for all"! I bring healthy cereal for my son. Paying the price we pay for childcare, you'd think the food would be better. Everything is processed food (hot dogs, chicken nuggets, pizza) and nothing is cooked but rather microwaved. We are praying as to whether to move them or keep them there at this point. The childcare providers keep us coming back each week. The staff and childcare providers are great but the manager does not reflect the christian ideals of upholding the promotions offered by the staff. I pray she reads this and understands the weight of her business decision. I will not recommend anyone here and will post this on every review page possible."
"We have had such a pleasurable experience with Beginnings and Beyond! My daughter absolutely adores her teachers and is always excited to tell me about her day when I pick her up! Ms. Joann has literally treated us as good as family and I am truly grateful that my daughter is taken care of by such loving people!! I love the fact that it's been the same teachers I've seen since the beginning so they know us and it's great stability for the children. I recommend Beginnings and Beyond 100%!!!!!"
"My experience at Beginnings & Beyond has been fantastic. As a mother, it is so important to know that your child is well cared for while you are away, and I have never felt a moments concern. My daughters LOVE going to Beginnings and Beyond during the summer time. What is most appreciated is how much effort the teachers go to in order to care for your child the way that you would at home -- I've not seen such conscientious personal care. I know that they are not only well cared for, but that they also experiencing critical social interaction with there peers and intellectual stimulation through the learning activities the excellent teachers have plan for the children. But on a personal level, my family has been through many changes throughout the past year and the support and flexibility that Beginnings and Beyond has shown us has made all the difference in the world. We are so grateful to you and your wonderful staff for the personal and professional care you have provided for our girls!"
