"I fantastic organization and a vital cog in the Derby City art footprint, BUT...do not confuse the business offices with a place of performance. This particular location is where the stars that do not feel the waves of adulation that come from standing ovations. While Opera rings and the fabulous theaters art centers schools parks of our great City Louisville, this is a place of toil. Paperwork, contracts, purchasing... not behind the scenes but those that procure the plywood velvet throat spray, Ace bandages for those that work behind the stage for the performers. They will accept donations here, and you don't have to own a distillery to drop off a check. take heed, I heard... Taylor Swift on the house sound and but I did see a very thick chick out front singing Rihanna."
"Not the grandest opera house. But they do cute shows. Tango opera is quite unique!"
"The Gift of the Magi performance was great! Held in the new event location for The Opera."
"It would be helpful to update your website with stating the correct Cultural Pass information. This would be extremely helpful to parents with young children showing up the the Opera building just to be turned away because the storybook program is not even being held at main location. This could be easily updated on the youth and family programs tab on website."
"We’re big fans of regional opera companies and the Kentucky Opera in Louisville didn’t disappoint. Their productions are staged in the historic Brown Theater. In your pre-opera meal, hit the Brown Hotel for one of their famous “Hot Browns.”"
