"Employees make fun of customers looking for bottles of alcohol. After spending 5 minutes in the run aisle searching for a specific bottle of rum, I decided to look for it near the bourbon since I already searched the rum section top to bottom, and this specific rum is made in Bourbon casks so it wouldn’t surprise me if a liquor store had it in the Bourbon section. Anyway, some lady who works there asked what I was looking for. I told her the name of the bottle , and then instead of actually being helpful, she condescendingly asked, “You know what aisle we are in right?”, and made sure to say it loud enough so everyone else in the store heard. Then she told me to just google it like I already hadn’t tried that. The closest place that I knew had the bottle was 25 minutes away and since I was already in HEB I thought I’d take a peak to see if they had it next door. Wasn’t expecting this condescending person, but then again this is exactly why I don’t bother asking for help when I got to retail stores. If you want a pleasant experience where the employees won’t try to embarrass you, go to the liquor store next to the Texaco on the other side of the highway."
"The old white lady with glasses that works here is extremely rude. She accused me of using a false ID then proceeded to yell at me for defending myself. Tried to say she’d “get arrested” for serving me and threatened to refuse service. What a joke. This place sucks. Don’t give them your money."
"Rude and unreasonable treatment from the older woman here. I was with a group of over 35+ people and refused purchase because 1 person did not have their ID. I think it's hilarious that you did not even bother to check one person in our groups ID when they purchased their bottle but declined our beer purchase because one person was missing ID. We don't even get carded at HEB because we are visibly in our 30s. Had the audacity to say, "omg great now I sold you liquor and one person in your group doesn't have ID" umm are you supposed to check before or after the sale? Is this my fault? What rude behavior. I've bought here numerous times and have never been carded, so the hypocrisy is crazy. I have spent tons here, but I will never be back. I also want to add that she followed us around as if we were going to steal. She left customers waiting at the register as if we were not to be trusted. Was this racial? Felt like it"
"As soon as my family and I walked into the store, the old white lady was on us like a hawk. She even left customers at the counter waiting to pay. She clearly is racists and assumed we were there to still something. Never have I had such a horrible experience. I will never go back to this Twin Liquors again."
