"A perfect place for us to stay as we passed through southern Illinois. Make sure to visit Garden of the Gods which is nearby. We loved our stay at the manor. Shanna and Tim were wonderful hosts, the manor is in a remote and quaint spot, and the breakfast served was hearty and delectable."

"I recently stayed at the Stone Face Manor with my girlfriend (now fiance) and I can't say enough amazing things. Our hosts, Shanna and Tim, were incredibly friendly and made us feel like we were family. We got back from one of our hikes to tell Shanna that we had just gotten engaged on the hike and she was so excited for us and it felt like we had known each other for years. The two of them together are the perfect combination to be running a bed and breakfast and you can tell that they have a passion for it. Shanna is an amazing cook and provided a beautiful breakfast for us both days we stayed there. Each day was different and both were delicious and kept us full until dinner. She also made us a nice dessert to enjoy. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. There is a nice deck off of the kitchen that has a beautiful view of the creek and forest. There is also a really nice covered patio for the guests to enjoy. Our room was amazing and had the nicest bed and decorations. If you're going for quiet, romantic charm in the forest, you can't go wrong with the Stone Face Manor. We will definitely be back!"

"Stone face Manor is the most beautiful place to stay and if I could give it 100 stars I would. It provided the perfect setting for my now fiancé to propose! Shanna and Tim were such amazing hosts, making us feel like family and celebrating our engagement with us. We had the perfect weekend with them and this Bed and Breakfast will be a special place for us for years to come. The scenery is stunning, the house is clean and adorably decorated and Shanna is such a great cook, making us the most delicious breakfasts and desserts. There is no way for me to adequately explain how great it is, so all I can say is if you’re thinking about staying here, do it!!"
