Reviews of Kayfield Academy
"The staffs and children were absolutely horrible when I first attended here years ago."
"I withdrew my 10-month old from this daycare on on Friday. Pros: live feed cameras Cons: Staffing issues, price, quality of care."
"I work here and it’s amazing the staff are nice and our number one priority is the kids."
"I recently became employed at Kayfield Academy III and the owners have truly been a godsend. They are so kind and have made me feel like I’m apart of the family which is exactly what Kayfield is, a family! I’ve loved every moment that I’ve been working for these schools. They have a curriculum that is made specifically for their schools and the children learn so much while in their care! I wouldn’t want to send my kiddos anywhere else!"
"*Kayfield Academy 3 - My 4 yr old son attended Kayfield 2 before transferring to Kayfield 3 (this Kayfield location was more convenient). Upon touring the facility, the director placed strong emphasis on the fact that this facility mirrored the Kayfield 2 location. After what we experienced, to me it should be illegal to be mislead to such a high degree. In my opinion: My child’s class experienced *Physical abuse *Verbal Abuse and *Emotional abuse. Kids were yanked around, thrown around & ignored DAILY. The preschool 3 teachers left my son in time out for 45 minutes, KICKED his nap time cot while he was laying on it, as punishment for not falling asleep, entered the classroom and would ignore his greetings,Yelled "WHAT" to him when he called their name, almost injured his neck on 2 occasions bending his head down to examine a scar he received during the day (that they FAILED to report to me during pick up), in my opinion, threatened him to the point of frightening him at nap time, so that he would sleep, threw food at his plate during meal time, knocking food from his plate. To me Retaliated against him when I had a friendly conversation asking the teacher when they planned to implement lesson plans into the day as opposed to having the children PLAY the ENTIRE day (which in my opinion was creating behavior issues for all of the kids due to lack of learning and stimulation). The teacher to me, became highly offended from a respectful inquiry (which should have been welcomed) & to me turned on my helpless 4 yr old. I have home video of him stating that all his teachers due is yell at him and that they don't like him. The pre-k teacher has a child in the facility and leaves the children unattended to go feed her child in the infant room. One of the preschool 3 teachers removes her shoes/socks to pick at the fungus between her toes, & serves finger foods W/OUT gloves. She blows her nose and doesn't wash her hands & does not teach the children to wash their hands upon entry. The facility does not appear to have a breakroom, so the teachers to me have inappropriate conversations during breaks, in front of the kids and eat their lunch all over the kid's tables (W/OUT sanitizing the surface when finished). The teachers & office staff to me, work together to compose lies when issues get reported to the director who did not support me a parent, but to me, pacified her compassion-less, heart-less, paycheck driven staff when they abused these children. Even if SURVEILLANCE footage can support ALL accusations. The director even allowed one of the teachers (specifically the teacher who KICKED my sons cot while he was on it) to leave a parent conference being held (that I requested) because I showed a photo of her giving my son, to me, the most aggressive stare after I reported their behaviors toward him and the other students. I feel so bad for the children who were left behind at this facility & the parents who aren’t aware. The same week my son was removed, a child was, to me, publicly shamed in front of his class for wetting his cot during nap time. To me, there was No compassion for this chid. Instead, to me, he was mistreated, yelled at, humiliated and forced to change his cot - which at 3/4 years old, he did not know how to do. *Please pay careful attention to the attached photo. This is the termination letter provided to Kayfield 3, after witnessing food being thrown onto my child's plate by the teacher, so aggressively that it knocked the rest of the food from his plate, causing him to move briskly to stop it from hitting the floor. After asking the director Ms. Woods to allow for me to review the footage with her - she told me that it can take several days for IT to provide the footage. As soon as I was off of the property, she called me stating she was able to review the footage and stated "food was not thrown at my son, because the food did not hit him". Basically, it only counts if the food hits the child, Parents BEWARE. Please beware - My opinion:This facility is not one to entrust your precious child/children to."
