"Dixieland child care center is the best place that I have personally found in the Desoto, Tx after 9 years and 3 facilities. My children on a daily basis share their daily experience of learning and fun with the staff and other peers. Dixieland treats everyone equally and does not treat your child as if they are just another payment walking through door like I have experienced in the passed. After having a child with a special needs requiring just a little extra attention, and receiving that attention as if the child is their own was more than enough for me considering that is very rare. If for any reason a situation require attention on either the parent or staff the situation is addressed immediately before or after arrival of picking up your child depending on the severity of the matter. I have never felt so secure going to work feeling comfort leaving my children with any facility until enrolling them in Dixieland Child Care facility. I have witnessed on many occasions other children very happy to come leaving parents behind by either being greeted from staff or other peers. It's never a moment of walking through the door with a friendly smile and greetings from everyone. I never receive feedback like other surrounding facilities from staff they don't want to work for the owners as I have in the past. I can honestly say the last few years have been very successful with receiving assistance to and from school, as well as summer camp. I am not going to say that just one or two people of the entire are awesome, but I can say everyone work together and take pride in caring for our children, because we are all aware it is not an easy task. I can't give enough stars for assistance ..YOU GUYS ROCK..."

"Very nice Daycare! My kids has been going here for a very long time very nice people my kids just loves Mrs.Tonya and Mr. Ron and the staff! My youngest is four they have provided everything he’s needed since he was 5 months he has learn so much being under they care."

"Horrendous ,secretive daycare center. Parents are not allowed to go in with their child or see where the child is designated to be all hours of the day. You are not formerly introduced to their “teacher”. You are not informed on playtime,what they are fed for each meal day to day. Not informed on all the times your child was changed or went to the potty. They have the kids play in dirt covering hard cement which is a huge lawsuit waiting to happen. There are dozens of kids kept in a dark building majority of the day as trapped animals. You are not told what they are being “taught”. There is not cafeteria or large room to feed all the kids. You never smell any food that has been “prepared” for the kids. Our kids were terrified of staff, especially one specific lady once she passed by. No incident reports whether it be the other kids and your child are getting along well, whether they’re are being bullied, pushed, pinched or hit by the other kids. My child never started using phrases such as “don’t hit me” or scream “NO” while trying to change their diaper. Nor has my child ever clinched onto us so tight as if fearing something being done to them. Yelling for me to “close the door and drive off” things our child has never done or said has been ever since attending this “care” center. What is the huge LIE or SECRET you are hiding from the parents ? They tell you, you can bring certain things for them but in turn Never use them. Anything you subject them to utilize or change to accommodate your child they’ll say “ok” or “that’s fine that’s no problem” but never do then they rush all kids out without mentioning anything about their day or progress in this special curriculum they claim they are teaching. You are not allowed in either room to even peek to see your child. Our child has started having night terrors thinking they are about to go to school even on the weekends. The owner sells you a good sweet toned game and has about 3-4 daughters or so that are not formerly introduced to anybody, same goes for any of the staff members. They don’t tell their names or give you any kind of paperwork showing your child’s work or progression. They keep the building freezing cold and don’t even tell you when they have a nap and how many times they have a nap. They claim they have enough cots that are shared with well more than 10-20 kids so they started to break out horribly around their faces, necks , and arms. Please don’t send your children here there is no telling what they are doing to some of the kids there, and since reading a similar review, it seems as if they will back staff members(mostly consisting of their daughters) if something is to happen to your child or just simply wont tell you or even speak to you. I’ve never seen such fear and misery in our kids eyes & voice as I’ve seen for the past few months. If anything I would expect our eldest child to be able to tell me what she ate, drank, did, played with. Our child first would say I was with my teacher but now doesn’t even say that nor does she like the word teacher, if you say it our child will totally lose it. If any staff has jacked around our children, even by their shirt or arm a full lawsuit will be in place. In conclusion just choose a different care center and READ ALL THEIR REVIEWS before making your choice. For a center to have been around for a long while now you’d think they’d have more reviews. Unless they were deleted or paid another party to clean up their reviews on their site. Dixieland is Doom and Gloom land. Them having it airtight is also a safety hazard. You don’t know who is changing your child at all times. The only way I knew they went outside one time is due to seeing the dirt and woodchip pieces in their shoes. Most places parents are allowed to walk their child to class or sit and eat breakfast with them in other places Our child is very advanced and can’t even tell us what she ate for the day or if she even ate at all. Can’t tell us what she learned, or if she even drew anything with crayons(simply because it’s most likely not happening)"
