"Unfortunately there isn't a lot of rheumatologist to choose from in my area. So you get stuck with what is available. Always been told how UK was the best. Top notch hospital. We have NOT had that experience at all. Hospital is FILTHY in the area of the Kentucky Clinic Medicine Specialties. The LAB across the hall is gross. My husband has to do a urine sample. It was a large bathroom so I went in with him. It was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Literally as disgusting as a gas station bathroom. Top it all of with a ARPN Mattingly who was cold and uninterested in anything we had to say. Drove hours for the worst experience."

"My husband went here yesterday after his other rheumatologist at a smaller local clinic wouldn't listen to him about how his pain is getting worse and that he has practically become bedridden again. He was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in 2021 and sadly the Humira injections weren't working as good as they originally were, but his doctor wouldn't switch him to anything else and refused to believe his low back/hip pain was his ankylosing spondylitis, because his inflammatory markers were normal. I thought we were going to have to fight to get proper treatment at UK, but as soon as they read his records and how he's been treated by that other doctor, they instantly wanted to put him on a different TNF blocker to see if it helps. They believed his pain is due to his ankylosing spondylitis. If it wasn't for UK, my husband still would be going through the mistreatment of another doctor that was causing him to become bedridden again."

"Doctors are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are kind and take care of patients well. I have been seeing doctors for three years and my experience has been very positive."

"I thought I was just having an isolated moment but yea, these dr’s don’t believe their patients. I was treated as if I had no pain or as if I was making it up. They missed a connective tissue disease and everything during my evaluation just to diagnose me with Fibromyalgia, I had to BEG for my dr to give me braces for my chronic joint pain in which his response was “I don’t know why that would be necessary but I can if you want” now my chronic pain has escalated and something with my immune system is not right. Those braces he didn’t think were necessary are probably the only reason I can cope with my issues and he didn’t even wanna give them to me. 1/10 do not recommend."

"This is a awful practice. You never see the same doctor. I have had 5-6 different doctors 5 in five years. They cancel appointment all the time. I see a doc every 6 months I had to reschedule because of work they set my appointment from February to July then canceled it today and they will reschedule it probably another 6 months out so it will be over a year since my last appointment. They say they will call back but never do I’ll have to call and be put on hold for 20 minutes. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else"
