"I was sent here on an urgent referral from my PCP, however Kimberly Thompson disregarded everything I said and was completely dismissive. She stated my “problems” could be fixed in therapy, even though I’ve consistently been going to therapy for 9 months, and said she doesn’t understand why I was initially given the diagnosis I have. (Diagnosis that I have had & been treated for, for 15+ years). My PCP couldn’t believe I was treated this way & I left the office in tears after my one & only visit. The lady at the front desk was so kind and understanding, it makes me believe this isn’t an isolated incident with the APRN there. I was waiting for a patient survey or some type of after care follow up, but I never received any so I resorted to a google review because people need to be aware of mental health “professionals” such as Kimberly Thompson. I highly DO NOT recommend seeing her for any of your mental health needs."
"' Kimberly Thompson is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Her job is to'treat' mental health.A Psychiatrist is a PHYSICIAN who specializes in mental health. They are trained to deal with the mental and physical aspects of psychological issues. One may see a psychiatrist for several reasons. They may need help with acute psychological stressors such as hearing voices, thoughts of suicide, or panic attacks. Or they may struggle with long-term issues such as depression or generalized anxiety. I've seen Thompson, she is unprofessional, unpleasant, and rude. I've been diagnosed with several different mental illnesses. I went to see Thompson after my original psychiatrist resigned: the biggest mistake of my life. She told me I was an addict because I'm also taking Suboxone. She said I need to quit Klonopin and she wasn't concerned with the withdraws nor seizures I have. Tapering Klonopin is a slow process, which can't be done safely in 1 month. She isn't concerned with my health or safety."
