"New Vista provides exceptional service and commitment to their surrounding communities! Highly recommend."
"I really, REALLY want to understand. I completely understand company protocols ESPECIALLY after COVID, but why can't I get a set therapist? Since 2021, there have been many therapists that have been getting thrown around and transferred after each welcome session and they just want me in on "vitals" and the meaningless telehealth phone calls."
"I started going to New Vista a couple months ago. I loved my therapist, who is leaving soon - he was the best! I'm on disability for my mental health and have been for two years. Well with all of Kentucky's stupid laws on medicaid, medicare and disability, I lost my insurance. I have called and asked about a sliding fee scale. At first, I was told there was one. Next, I was told by Aaron (spelling?), who answers the phones, that the people in finances said that "I didn't qualify to use the sliding fee scale BECAUSE OF MY DIAGNOSIS!!" So, I guess if you're mental health is too intense, they can't help you?!? After going back and forth for a couple of weeks, I called to keep trying to get back in for therapy and meds, the Office Manager answered the phone this time. She stated that she had never heard of denying someone of financial assistance because of their diagnosis. She said she would email the application for the help that day. Three weeks later, still no email, still no more contact about getting me back in, other than my therapist checking in on me. To be "non-profit," they definitely don't help you unless they're making a profit, it seems. This is the trouble with trying to get PROPER mental health care help.... facilities like New Vista are constantly letting us down. No wonder mental health is out of control in this nation... no one WANTS to help!! I won't be back. Best wishes to my therapist, though."
"I can die any time because of my medical health. I am suffering. Mentally I feel why should I suffer any longer. I called this place which it was referred to me by the crisis hot line. I called and was transferred. I told them that I am in a mental crisis and I need help, and I currently have no insurance. As soon as I said that, they hung up on me. If that is how they treat people calling for information and resources, how good is the treatment they provide? Don't bother with these people, they have No empathy."
"They are only in it for the money, the do not care about the patients. Lexington Ky is the worst location, my son has been out of his medicine for three days, I have called morning and afternoon. I’m starting to think they’re closing (which at this point, they might as well) They can avoid your calls, avoid your requests and yet you miss an appointment and they act like you’re wasting their time…. My daughter has been switched therapists over four times, and has only been there a year. The only thing they worry about is being able to book an appointment, and bill your insurance. Outside of that, they don’t care. UPDATE: I have called New Vista everyday since last week, they have no concerns for issuing my son’s medication, I’ll be switching my son to Mountain Comprehensive Care. They never gave issues with filling medication, calling you back or prioritizing. They do not care about the well being on their patients. They’re more worried about billing for an appointment than a child receiving the medication they’ve been on for years. I hate labeling this a new vista problem, it seems to be Doctor Nasir’s nurse that’s refusing to send in my sons refill. I have also reached out to the new vista help line, if I get a call back. It will blow my mind."
