Reviews of Norton Neurology Services
"Been a patient for years and seen several doctors in the practice and each one has been excellent. The docs and staff are kind and professional. Always a great outcome. I can't recommend them enough. They have been VERY good to me."
"WONDERFUL!! I have been going to doctors for over 2 years only to be referred, referred, referred and nothing ever done. One visit at Norton Neurology and he told me exactly what is wrong and how serious it is. Finally! Someone who CARES about a persons quality of life."
"Avoid this provider if you are seeking for care with compassion. This provider does not make a good effort about helping the patient improve and does not follow up with patients to see how they are doing. My mom has had Parkinson’s Disease for 7 years and have been going to see Dr. Philips for over 2 years. Ten months ago her PD symptoms negatively increased and she also began to develop severe anxiety. We were not able to make appointments to see Dr. Philips to discuss her changing condition (only able to see him once a year). We were only able to send messages via MyChart and only able to talk to the nurse. A ton of medications were prescribed without adequate followup to analyze impacts. When we tried to ask for help they either accused my mom of taking too much medication or saying she needs to go to the psychiatric hospital. Is this the standard of care you provide?? We were desperate to find a new provider as my mom’s quality of life was non-existent (she also lost 25 lbs in these 10 months). Thankfully we were able to find a new provider recently and within the last 4 weeks her meds were completely updated, new provider is scheduling in-person follow ups every 2 weeks, and she has gained back 10 lbs so far. My family has had great experiences with Norton but this office (Dr. Philip) was a huge disappointment."
"I’ll just start this by saying that the office itself is very nice. Everyone is extremely kind and they never make you feel bad for coming in for something small. Personally, Eric (the nurse) was one of the best people I’ve ever met. He was so kind and ALWAYS returned my phone calls. BUT, I will also say, good luck getting anyone to answer your phone call. I used to sit on hold for 30 minutes before I got anyone, and if you choose the call back feature, you won’t get a call for at least 2 hours. They are terrible at communicating and it feels that my medical needs aren’t important. I had a 6 month follow up visit on September 1st, which they cancelled. And failed to tell me they cancelled. I fought to get them to send a PA for my medication (something my new neurologist did in one day) I went TWO MONTHS without my medication because of this. And in the midst of transferring neurologists, they were supposed to call me to let me know my records were transferred, never received a call. Had to call the new one myself and find out that way. If you need a persistent doctor who communicates well, this isn’t the place for you."
"I met with Dr Phillips. He was very attentive to my concerns and spent about 10 minutes running me through some routine cognitive tests. My concern was more with the billing. After my 15 minute visit I received a $700 bill in the mail. This was all out of pocket so just be sure you know what your costs will be. I was happy with my treatment but though the cost was absurd."
