Reviews of Kids Care Academy - New Albany
"My son has been going to KCA for 6 months now and it has really helped him come out of his shell. He has never been to a daycare before and he is only 2 and had attachment issues and didn’t want to talk. Now he is talking a lot and has become a social butterfly somehow! The caregivers are very kind and do a great job! They do fun activities with him and he loves the playground there. The center was accommodating to his milk allergy and the caregivers have given me advice on a few things I just didn’t know how to handle as a new mother. All around this center has provided great care for my son. I would recommend this center for sure. It was recommended to me by my sister as her daughter goes there and she had nothing but good things to say about the center."
"This center is horrible. The director, Brittany, made a great impression the first time I met her. The very next day up until I withdrew my son, for her openly admitting to me that she “popped him in the mouth” - her words, she had a terrible attitude. Not friendly. She was one of the only staff members my son refused to go to. He went from walking into the class in the mornings to refusing to let his feet touch the ground when Brittany was present. I know of 2 other parents that have filed DCS reports with this center due to neglect and/or abuse. I once witnessed the 2 year old teacher losing her mind on a kiddo because she was refusing to sit down. The teacher called this little girl “a bully, mean, rude, a bad kid” and was forcing her poor legs into their table seats. The teacher saw me (she didn’t know I was there) and her entire demeanor changed. Suddenly she was comforting the child and being nice to her. It was sickening really. There are a few good people there like Molly, Bella, & Christine to name a few. But these poor women are overworked, underpaid, and understaffed. Not an excuse for the terrible treatment of children by others, but I know these 3 are trying their best. Overall, I would not send my child here if I were you. I don’t have many regrets in life, but ever leaving my child in the care of this center is at the top of the list. Hopefully they are shut down soon, but if not… don’t under any circumstances send your child here. Side note: the 2 seemingly well written reviews from a month ago are clearly fake. They both mention the same things almost identically and one of the pictures looks to be AI populated. Also the names they chose don’t exist anywhere else on the internet. I’d believe a few people and their bad experiences over 10+ people with good experiences. ESPECIALLY when it comes to my child."
"Absolutely a great daycare. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing childcare. My son attends KCA and it has been such an amazing experience. He has flourished since beginning here! The staff are friendly and professional. Great communication. The facility is kept clean. The meals/snacks given are appropriate. The outdoor play area is great as well."
"My son attended Kids Care Academy in the 2s and 3s program from June of 2022 to Jan of 2024. He attended both Jeffersonville and New Albany locations. Having two locations was a very accommodating feature because I had to switch jobs and New Albany was much closer. All the teachers that took care of David were amazing and and were successful at teaching him colors, shapes, numbers, letters and more. After about six months of attending, the director at the Jeffersonville location recommended speech therapy for our son because the staff noticed communication delays that we didn’t. This is something I’ll always be grateful for because the therapists they referred me to had helped immensely and he’s now caught up with kids in his age group. Everyone that I’ve interacted with at kids care academy has been super professional, considerate to our needs, and devoted to the care they provide. They’ve honestly felt more like friends at times and have been very helpful when I’ve needed advice about best childcare practices. It was with a very heavy heart when we decided to switch childcare centers after moving 45 minutes away. The decision was of no fault of KKA. We will greatly miss them and the care they so diligently gave to our son. I would recommend KKA (either location) whole heartedly to anyone needing childcare for their kiddos."
"Kids Care Academy has provided excellent care for my child and has been a wonderful experience for us both. My son has attended this daycare for almost 2 years now, it was both of our first experiences with a daycare center and we are loving it. The staff make it feel like a family, he has grown such strong relationships with all of the teachers and Children. They update me on diaper changes/potty training, meals, and behavior or any incidents throughout the day through their app and are very responsive to any messages or questions I have. They keep me involved in his care and are very considerate of accommodations. He has learned and blossomed so much since he has started in their care. At 2.5 years old he knows and can point out nearly all of his letters of the alphabet, all of his numbers 1-10, and shapes and colors. They are currently working on his potty training and have done great so far. The staff always make sure the environment is clean and safe, I have zero complaint in that department! And if you LOVE cute crafts and keepsakes made by your child you will 100% get that here."
