"It is Impossible to get an appt I have been trying for over 2 months to get an appt to renew my passport it is ridiculous the way you have to request an appt, they don't answer their phone and the customer service is terrible. It is a very frustrating, that we as Colombians needing important documents from our consulate we have to go thru hoops and loops to get any decent service."
"Me and my cousin took our aunt to renew her passport and from the moment we walked into the building we received nothing but kindness. The security man in front was very helpful and Luis who took care of our renewals was kind and patient and exceeded our expectations. Thank you!"
"This consulate is the worst. Booking an appointment is impossible. I don't understand why. It was way better few years back but this new administration has made everything impossible. None never gets the phone calls. Is someone really working there or are you just in a lifetime holiday at the expense of the Colombian people. Who's working there. No appointment available never and none picks up the phone. This is totally unacceptable."
"This is the worst consulate in all of the US, and I have lived in California, Pennsylvania and New York. They will only serve you by appointment, yet it is impossible to get one online (never times available, not even Fridays at 9am as they claim). Phone line and email only answered by robots and it is impossible to get a person in any other form. If you got to the consulate without an appointment, they won't do anything for you. Their new online system to get appointments is simply the worst - never providing available times. How are you supposed to get any service from this useless government agency?"
"I can't express enough how thankful I am with this consulate and its kind attention to my Cedula and Passport appointment. The staff was kind, and receptive. 5 start customer service for all three different representatives I encountered. I also learned that students doing their "Pasantia ,Intership are working in this office. As a teacher, I appreciate our young people learning how to run a heavy flow of customer traffic like in this office. In another thought....After trying for a month in California to get an appointment, Houston's consulate office handles their appointmens so much better than the rest of the countries' consulates. Most consulates are releasing appointments only once a week, increasing the web traffic that Outlook scheduler could ever stand. Outlook is not designed for this amount of users. Thank you, Houston's consulate for listening to the con-nationals and giving a chance for appointments to be scheduled daily. I checked on almost all other consulates. Houston is the only one doing this. The appointment issue is an IT issue, not the consulate. As a public service provider, you rely on engineers and web designers to set the best customer experience, outlook is truly obsolete for the volume of customers. If you notice offices like DMV in US, they don't use outlook. I am hoping the IT consultants resolve the issue, for now I so appreciate Houston promptness to an inherited IT issue."
