"Listen up, and read to the end. Travis Russel is a terrible lawyer!!! I had Travis Russel as an attorney for a 1st DUI in Clarksville TN, I live in Ga. I plead guiltily entirely contingent on the fact I would get a work permit to drive. He told me “yes” three times, “yes.. yes, it’s not problem.” He got me to plead guilty because he was on the states side, he was so new to court the judge kept having to tell him, “Mr Russel, you don’t have to say this or do that everytime, but if you want to that’s your choice,” I felt embarrassed for him, we all did. he didn’t even know how to do basic math to lower someone’s bond, so the judge had to take a recess. Mr Russel was the most nervous lawyer I ever met. When we first spoke on the phone at jail, he dropped all his papers representing several men as he was talking to me after we had already when over my case, and Mr. Russel proceeded to tell me about fentanyl charges and I was like ???? What” He had me confused with someone else. I plead guilty to DUI and they dismissed the implied consent. Wow! lol. One year of probation, and even the judge knew I lived in Ga. I asked Travis Russel what I needed to get my limited permit. He’s said “just got to the DMV and ask,” literally, this is what he told me. These were his directions and it didn’t feel right. I am very intuitive, discernment is instilled in me. I tried to get my license and the Ga DDS told me I needed to get paperwork to get the limited work permit. I called Mr Clark, who handled my probation information before leaving court. I explained my situation, and told him how Mr. Russel promised me a work permit, and that I could get my probation transferred to Ga. It turns out, Travis Russel, He LIED. Mr Clark told me Clarksville TN doesn’t transfer probation, and he’s right, they do not, and I had not ride 1040 miles round trip, much less every monthz so what do you do? Mr Clark told me that Mr Russel was supposed to have given me paper work before leaving court for the work permit. Travis Russel, attorney at law, is by far the most incompetent lawyer I have ever came across in my 40 years of life. I called Travis, and guess what he said “you need to calm Mr Clark,” I told him, I’ve already called him and he told me you’re responsible for this.” You guys and girls, run fro this man. I don’t know how he got his position. Six months and no license for a first DUI that I only plead guilty to because I was neglected my anti depressants and serequil, I was awake for 7 days straight, I would have plead guilty to child milestaion to get out and get my medication. I was suicidal and in very bad shape. There was no way for me to get to probation from Ga, 470 miles away, so I sent money for probation and fines, only to find out I have a warrant because of Mr Travis Russel. Who would not return any of my phones calls or emails with the exception of the one time he answered I mentioned above. I will leave bad reviews everywhere I can for this man. I am a free lance writer and I am very big on honesty and integrity. I was in a dark place losing both my children in one day, and my probation officer told me, “lawyers like Travis, they see you once in court, then wipe their hands of you. They want money money money. Well, I will prove through basic statistics, and the sheer power of bad reviews and know that he will lose much more money that he will have ever earned on me. This, I am 100 percent sure of. I may not be perfect, but I was not only not represented, I was lied to several times by my only advocate, Mr Travis Russel. He will pay, he must. And he should, he should be disbarred for this in my opinion. But I hope and pray as he grows up from a little boy attorney on the states side, and into a big boy attorney with balls and confidence and a witty head about him, he will look back on all the reviews I leave on Reddit, Facebook, google, his site, and my aim is much higher than this.
