"I have learned a lot about “upping your metabolism” and other things needed to lose weight and will use that information wisely, but I wish people would keep their opinions to themselves and not get into someone else’s business that doesn’t concern them. I will not be explaining the reasoning for my doctor to recommend the sleeve surgery, but I will tell you that my 2 herniated discs in my lower back cause me to have numbness and no feeling in my legs so exersize is hard to do to lose weight with this problem, for I wake up most of the time not able to feel my legs for a few hours. Well I was told by “Tina” yesterday who works here at the wellness center, that “I don’t need it”, and argued with me about the situation. Though it was none of her business, I still explained in why my doctor recommended it. Then today, I was with someone else doing the metabolism testing. I was standing outside the office door and was talking to the lady, while Tina was just standing there listening. When I said my goodbyes and was about to leave, then Tina had made the comment again, “see, she even agrees that you don’t need it”. So not only did she admit to me that she had conversation with another employee about MY medical business, but keeps pestering me that I shouldn’t get the surgery and keeps arguing with me about it. Not only is this unprofessional, but violates the hippa violation code. I was still nice about the situation and repeated myself of the reasoning and will still be getting this surgery for she has no say in the matter at all. I just wish my visit was better and that she would from now on, keep her nose on her face. I hope everyone else has a better experience here at the wellness exam and may you achieve all of your goals."
