"I’ve been going to UK Midwife Clinic for years where they have supported me through several miscarriages, a live birth, and a current healthily progressing pregnancy. I cannot say enough good things about these educated and caring women. I was being seen by OBGYN for my miscarriages/fertility issues previously, and I felt rushed and unheard. I immediately noticed a huge difference and felt very listened to and respected by the midwives. With the birth of my first son, I had some minor complications that the high risk OBGYN immediately wanted me induced for at 36-37 weeks, but Chrissie especially went to bat for me and helped me and baby safely reach 38 weeks before we had to induce. We had a wonderful birthing experience even with an induction as a first time mom, no doubt thanks to the wonderful midwife team and great UK L&D nurses. With my current pregnancy, they even had great suggestions to conceive without fertility treatment this time around that worked. Amazing, wonderful, caring women and practice. They are very science and research driven while balancing it with common sense and conservative approaches first. I literally recommend them to everyone and have so many friends who go to them and feel the same way. -Ashley Wilson"
"We had an absolutely amazing experience with the midwife clinic from the first trimester to post partum! They are experts in their field, easy to talk to, empowering, kind, and obviously love what they do! A special shout-out to Chrissy, Megan, and Katie — they were our team during labor and delivery. Chrissy came up with an excellent induction gameplan (I developed gestational diabetes so opted for it) and kept me calm and comfortable throughout. She described every step and clearly laid out the “why” behind her recommendations while still making it clear that everything was still my choice. Megan took great care of me during delivery and made me feel like a warrior. And Katie’s calm and confident demeanor, along with her extensive experience, eased every fear that I had during the delivery. I would recommend the Midwife Clinic to anyone — they made sure to respect my choices in every step but also educated us so that we could make informed decisions."
"I recently had the opportunity to use the services of the midwife clinic, and while I cannot praise the midwives enough for their excellent care, I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with the hospital-based billing system that is being employed. First and foremost, I want to emphasize that the midwives at this clinic are truly exceptional. They provided attentive, compassionate, and professional care throughout my time there. Unfortunately, my positive experience with their medical expertise was overshadowed by the nightmare of dealing with their billing procedures. It all started when I was charged $3000 in routine labs that according to my insurance provided, should have been "covered in full." Later, I was required to undergo a transvaginal ultrasound during one of my visits to the clinic. To my astonishment, I later discovered that this procedure might not have been medically necessary according to various medical sources. Nevertheless, the real shock came when I received the billing statements. A staggering $1000 charge for this ultrasound left me dumbfounded. After months of back-and-forth communication, I managed to negotiate the bill down to $200, which I reluctantly paid. However, my ordeal did not end there. Over a year later, I was billed an additional $200 out of the blue, leaving me frustrated and bewildered. The lack of transparency and communication regarding these charges is simply unacceptable. While I understand that medical services come at a cost, I find it deeply disappointing that a clinic with such dedicated and skilled midwives would tarnish their reputation by associating themselves with a hospital billing system that appears to be focused on extracting as much money as possible from patients, rather than promoting fair and transparent billing practices. In conclusion, I commend the midwives for their unwavering dedication to their patients' well-being. However, my overall experience was marred by the hospital-based billing process that seems to lack ethical considerations and transparency. It is my hope that the clinic reevaluates its billing practices to ensure that patients can receive the excellent care they deserve without being subjected to financial exploitation."
"I absolutely love the UK midwives! I had both of my babies with them, and they were so supportive of all my decisions (induction and pain management medications). The OB/GYN I had before was so rushed and when I told her my fears about miscarriage again she completely blew me off. The midwives were the exact opposite and listened to my fears and reassured me and said they would take great care of me and my baby. During birth, I had the best hospital care ever! Definitely recommended!"
"Zero professionalism. I understand there are times when schedules run behind but they are ALWAYS running late, 20 min at best. That’s just to get to the exam room, add another 25 after that. I’ve been coming here for a few years hoping it would be different (it was not like this several years ago). Staff is not friendly, except to each other. Office manager took a call while I was there then commented on what a difficult patient she was."
