"As far as the doctors, they are wonderful. However, it just doesn't seem like a friendly hometown family doctor anymore. Since UofL health took over, everything is less personable, trying to get a bill paid (at least in my experience) was nearly impossible by phone, and calling to ask a simple question was unfathomable. Maybe change is hard and this is just the way things have to be, but I don't know if it's always the right answer."

"I had a dog bite that appeared to be slightly infected and I wanted to get a professional opinion on if I should treat it with antibiotics or not. I was a current customer of KentuckyOne Health in Shelbyville already but wanted a closer destination. When I called I was asked for my social security number by the person scheduling the appointment. I told them I would happily give my drivers license number but that I wouldn't give my social security number to a medical provider. They transferred me to the office manager and she concurred that I had to give my social to get an appointment, even after speaking with the physician. I went up the chain and informed the parent company of this. After going back and forth over a multiple days with this they finally called me back and informed me that I could make an appointment without a social security number if I wanted to. No apology, or anything. Basically the conversation went, We can go ahead and schedule you without your social if you still want an appointment. This after the office manager shares private medical information with me about her mother over the phone while trying to use that as justification for their fallacy. I wouldn’t recommend going to this office if you value your privacy because I don’t think they understand how to safeguard your private medical information."

"This is the place of my primary care physician. They have been very thorough in keeping me well. Your primary care physician is as only good as the information you give to him so if you had treatment elsewhere you should let your primary doctor know."
